More than Just Lines on a Map: Best Practices for U.S Bike Routes
Leadership spring break ppt slide share
1. Gurtrude
Gurtrude is a turtle that I found in my backyard in the mouth of my dog
Daisy (Who makes an appearance later in the show). She* was about the
size of two fists put together so I was shocked to find her in my backyard.
*I have no idea how to tell the gender of turtles so I picked based off of
the name I gave her.
3. Gurtrude Release
I found a nice shady spot by a tree and a creek where I felt Gurtrude
would be able to live safely and happily.
4. Gurtude’s New Home
Brison Park is now where Gurtrude calls home and where I often take
Daisy for walks. Maybe someday we will see Gurtrude again.
5. Gurtude’s New Home Cont.
Here is another picture of Gurtrude’s new beautiful home.
6. Empty Tank
Here is a picture of the transportation device used to carry Gurtrude
safely to her new home.
7. Daisy Post-release
Here is a picture, as promised of my dog Daisy who “found” Gurtrude in
our backyard. She may look ferocious but she is actually very well
behaved and friendly.
8. Squirrel Feeder
For helping me find Gurtrude and release her back into the wild, I
purchased a squirrel feeder so that Daisy could have some friends to play
with during the day. So far it has worked out quite well.
9. Squirrel Feeder Cont.
Just a bigger picture of where the squirrel feeder is set, just out of reach
of the dog so they can play safely.
10. Spring Break
While my spring break didn’t quite look like this, I had an exciting
adventure with Gurtrude the turtle and caught up on some much needed
sleep.
