I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:
a. Identify big and small animals
b. Differentiate big and small animals.
II. Subject Matter: Big and Small Animals
Reference: Reading Skills Workbook pp. 17
Materials: pictures of different animals big and small (carabao, horse, pig, elephants, dog,
and cow)
Integration: Language, Numeracy, Values
III. Procedure.
a. Preparatory activities
1. Checking of assignments
2. Review: different kinds of animals
3. Motivation: The teacher asks the child about the different kinds
of animals. Show different pictures of animals and ask the child.
b. Lesson Plan:
Presentation;
The teacher show different pictures of animals them ask the child
to name the pictures they see. Differentiate the sizes of animals and
discussed it.
1. Activity:
Scattered pictures in the table and ask the child to pick the
big animal and paste it in the left column and the small animal is in
the right column.
2. Analysis:
How to identify big animal to small animal?
3. Abstraction:
2. How to describe and differentiate from big to small
animals? How to take care of animals?
4. Application:
Post the chart that has small animals and ask pupil to pick
the big animals in the table and paste it on the chart.
IV. Evaluation:
Direction: Draw a line to match the big animals to small animals.
