Intrinsic Motivation:-
 Intrinsic motivation means that the
individual’s motivational stimuli are coming
from within.
 The individual has the desire to perform a
specific task, because it’s results are in
accordance with his beliefs system of a

Extrinsic motivation is external in nature.
The most well known and the most debated motivation
is money 💵. Below are some other examples:

“The ladder of inference”is a tool used to understand
perception.
It sets the foundation for differences in perception.
The ladder of inference explains the process of thinking
that we experience,to develop from some information to a

weight.
 I have skin problem.I have to overcome this
problem by taking proper medication or
treatment.
 I have to improve my communication skills to
be a good conversationalist.
 Reading books 📚 and expand more interest
on life.

performed until the subject associates the
action with pleasure or distress.
To make a significant change in my life and
achieve whatever my goals set for myself.I
must condition my mind for success.
The journey of success will be full of
excitement,achievement,happiness and
satisfaction.
But………..Also
Journey of success will be full of
pitfalls,obstacles,failures and challenges.If I unable to
handle the failures.I’ll never reap the reward or the
achievements.
“I Love myself”
“I am the winner”
“I can develop my mind everyday with knowledge.”
Conditioning my mind for success means establishing
new habits, and habits are formed with the little things
doing everyday.
Here are the 5 things which I can do on a daily basis to
condition my mind for success.
 Write out my goals every morning.
 Focus on what I want.
 Asking myself better questions.
 Surrounding myself with positive,like-minded people.
 Using To-Do-List.
Q3.What are the Applications and Benefits of Goal
Management?
The word Goal has been explained as
Destination;Desire;Longing;Objective;Finish;Passion;Aim;Object
and Aspiration (New Webster’s thesaurus)
“Goals are the Fuels in the furnace of Achievements”
Applications:-
Positive health.
Positive study and Knowledge.
Positive relationship goals.
Success goals.
Benefits
 Helps us to stay in focused.
 Assists in overcoming procrastination.
 Sets Barriers.
 Measures our progress.
 Enables us to manage our time.
 Motivates.
 Stress free life.
Q1.what is the value of time?
“Time is Money!” We often hear people tell
us. Yes , time is really is money. Every
minute of life is worth a lot of money
because huge investments have already
been made in it by people like our
parents,friends and family.
Successful people know the value of time
and hence, use time wisely to produce
excellent results in all areas of their
lives.
“value your time.”It is precious. Very precious!
“Time and Tide wait for no man”
Time gives only one chance and one has to put
all effort and intelligence to make it best
usable. It has no beginning and no
ending.Economy and value of time is very
important.
Q2.What are the different barriers to Time
Management?
There are several barriers to time management. The top five are:-
 Likes and Dislikes:-people tend to do those things which they
like instead of doing things which are important.Such an
attitude always leaves important work unfinished to produce
negative results in life.
When one learns to separate personal ‘likes and dislikes’ and
concentrates on the importance of the activity, this block appears.
 A lack of discipline:-Success in life cannot be achieved
without discipline.Time,in nature,is extremely disciplined for
example,Day and Nights;Seasons;The Sun and The Moon;Flowers
and Fruits,all follow a schedule.
 Procrastination:-
Procrastination is the negative habit of putting things off for a
later time.Words like, later;tomorrow;we‘ll see and not now are so
common that procrastination can be termed a social illness. The
more one avoids procrastination, the better the person manages
activities and time.
 Weak Interests in life:-Dynamic goals compel us to perform dynamic
activities whereas very easy or non-demanding goals do not stretch our
potential to produce dynamic goals and results.
Weak interests in life therefore, produce weak personalities and poor time
managers.
 Improper Reference Groups:-A negative reference group will never allow
productive activities to be performed.
People with low self esteem pull others down, while ,people with high self esteem
build themselves and others around them also.
Reference groups,from a personality development perspective,include good
books;T.V channels;magazines and clubs.
Q3.What are the time saving equipments available today?
 From super computers to the humble rough pad, many tools are available to
help you use your time better.Choose carefully and buy only what you need
and can use for a reasonable period of time, quality always pays in the long
run.
Some suggestion:-
 A good planner diary.
 A digital diary.
 Phones with answering devices.
 Files to organize your papers.please discard unimportant paper and check
your files regularly.
 Micro-cassette recorders.
 Computers /Laptop computers.
Remember, buy what you really need, only what you need.
Q1.Explain the time management matrix in your own words.
Time management grid is an effective method of organizing your
priorities. It differentiates between the activities that are important
and those that are urgent.
 Important:-Important activities have an outcome that leads to the
achievement of our goals whether they are professional or personal.
 Urgent:-Urgent activities demand immediate an attention and are
often associated with achievements of someone else goals.
Inevitably, there is a tendency to focus on things that are urgent and
often that urgent things are also important.
Q2.Access your time management skills and say how you will
improve them?
 Time management is more than just managing the
time.It is about controlling the use of most
valuable and undervalued resource. It is managing
oneself in relation to time. With good time
management skills one is in control of ones own
time,stress and energy levels.
 Analyzes today’s reality.
1. “Leadership is the influence exercised in inter personal
situations directed through the communication process,
towards the attainment of goals”.
What does this quote implies
The definition implies that the following three factors are
essential for leadership to function effectively.
 Set crystal clear goals
 Select the people carefully to attain the goal
 Use inter personal skills combined with encouraging
communication to motivate the goal attainders.
“focus an the benefits not on the difficulties of
attaining your goals”.
2. What are the functions of leadership ?
The functions of leadership are as diverse as the situations in
which leadership is to be exercised the people involved and
the deadlines with in which goals are to be attained
The seven major functions of leadership are :
 LEAD :-
Leaders enhance people to words attaining goals either
personally or purely in spirit.
 INFLUENCE :-
Leaders effect the team in a positive manner to achieve
goals.
 MOTIVATE :-
Leaders arouse and direct the team`s behavior as
per objectives set.
 CONTROL :-
Leaders will invariably govern, regulate, commend
and manage teams to words goal attainment.
 STIMULATE :-
Leaders excite, urge, provoke and charge the team.
 ASSERT :-
Leaders uphold, affirm and emphasize the
objectives set and stand up for righteousness
specially in situations where goals are difficult to
attain.
 COOPERATE :-
The word `cooperate` from a leadership point of
view must be understood as cooperate or work together,
leaders ensure that each person who is assigned a task
must perform it and create an atmosphere of cooperation
or working together.
3. What are the three humor styles of boss ?
HUMOR STYLES : THE 1.1 BOSS :-
He is a do-nothing boss. His humor is rather
pointless.
He jokes are always unrelated to the
job. How he operates can be a piece of humor for
other in the organization. One such boss never
took a decision or implemented it.
when ever he had to take a decision he
would mark the paper to his boss with the remark
for decision, please! When his boss gave the
decision he would mark the paper to his
subordinate with the remark: for implementation,
please! He never made any mistake and rose very
high in the organization.
HUMOR STYLES : THE 1.9 BOSS:- These basses are relationship-
oriented. Their humor shifts attention a way from their serious
side.
Their stress on building relationship can be taken to a ridiculous
extent. In one case the boss asked, “how is your wife? sir, I told you
that I am a bachelor” the employee retorted. After six months the
same boss asked the same employee “how is your son doing in his
studies?” the boss was really in corrigible.
There was a rough boss. He used to call his foreman every morning
and yell, “if you don’t produce one million pieces today. I will sake
you” the company got worried and sent him to a human relationship
program. An his return from the training program. He called his
foreman and said. “if you don’t produce one million pieces today, I
will sack you” by the way how his your mother.
HUMOR STYLES : THE 9.1 BOSS :-Such bosses think that
all the wisdom of the world has been put into their small
heads by god, even their humor is hard-hitting.
The story goes that one chief-executive was strongly 9.1,
he expected complete compliance of his instructions, he
also expected that whenever he cracked a joke, every day
must laugh.
In a meeting with his senior managers one day he cracked
a joke. Every day laughed except one manager sitting in
one corner, the chief-executive was furious. He
thundered, “I am the chief executive. I cracked a joke and
you have the audacity not to laugh”.
“I have resigned” replied the manager”.
Ford used to say that “you can have any color car provided
it is black”.
In a similar vein, the 9.1 bosses say to their situations of subordinates
that they can have as much discussions as they like provided they
ultimately agree to their point of view.
their humor is to cut people short. In a meeting
when a subordinate gave some different the 9.1 boss retorted, “I don’t
know who recruited you in this company the personal department is not
doing its job well. Are you a graduate from Bhagalpur university”?
1. What are the five significant reasons while
leadership is important ? Justify with examples.
IMPORTANCE :-
Just like the body cannot function successfully with
oxygen, a sports team needs a captain, an army needs a
courageous commander, and countries need able leaders.
All those examples emphasize the fact that
success is directly related to the quality of leadership in
both personal and team spheres of human endeavors.
the five reasons why the leadership is important are :-
1. LEADERSHIP IS INSTRUMENAL IN MAKING THE

With leadership there is always the responsibility of
achieving success.
2. LEADERSHIP DIRECTS THE BEHAVIOUR OF PEOPLE
OF PEOPLE IN A DESIRED MANNER :-
Teams consist of human beings with different
personalities. Leadership attempts to understand the
different personalities in a team set individual and
collective objectives and control and channelize
behavioral energy to words achieving both individual and
collective goals.
3. LEADERS ACTS AS ROLE MODELS :-
Leaders are `can-do` people. They make their teams want
to be `like them` uncounted cases are recorded where
team members copy and impossible some of the qualities
which their leaders process.
team looks up to their leaders very much like a child
looks up to parents…the basic massage being…its goods to
know you`re here leader.
4. LEADER ACTS AS CATALYSTS :-
Some times even a name is enough to create a catalysts
effect. For example, we hear many stories of armies
fighting for their countries and sports persons
Performing for their coaches. The students silent prayer
before the exam…makes god the leader playing catalyst.
5. LEADERS CREATE CONFIDENCE:- Firmness,
assurance, faith and courage are essential for them
performance…leaders provide all these through sheer
determination. Confidence in themselves and by encouraging
their teams positively.
2. State the qualities of leadership. Identify the once
you passes and support your choice with example ?
The fifteen leadership qualities are :
 SETTING OBJECTIVES :-
Setting objectives or goals gives meaning and purpose to work.
 ORGANIZING AND PLANNING :-
Organizing and planning is like making a road to destination.
 DECISION MAKING :-
Quick, effective, result oriented and correct decisions lead to success.
 INTEGRITY AND HONESTY :-
