1. IP Network QoS and VoIP MOS Measurement Software Stack.
Beta Release – Initial draft
The Voicespector tools is dedicated to measure QoS parameters
and some Multimedia metrics for Voice over IP network based
transmission.
It supports standards IP network transmission parameters
measurement and additionnally objective measurements of voice
quality for the major codecs used for VoIP. The so called Mean
Opinion Score gives a rating of speech quality:
Listening Quality Scale (MOS):
Quality grade
EXCELLENT 5
GOOD 4
FAIR 3
AVERAGE 2
BAD 1
This software is implemented according to conventionnal IP
layered architecture and run at Application level of the OSI model
QoS parameters
Delay, Jitter , Bandwidth, Loss rate.
Supported VoIP audio codecs for mean
opinion score quality:
G711, G722, G723.1, G726, G728
G729a/b, iLBC, speex.
Voice Activity Detection.
Comfort Noise Generation.
Network

RTP, RTCP, SCTP under devpt.
IPv4 and IPv6.
Graphical User Interface
JAVA based GUI. on any supported device.
Display through Internet Browser.
