The Most Important Results of the Reformation Era There are several results of the Reformation Era
that are important. The Reformation Era made a big impact in recent studies of history. One of the
most important results of the Reformation Era is the Martin Luther 95 theses. Another really
important results that impacted the Reformation Era is religion. Religion is really significant back
then because of how powerful God or God's were. These two reasons are what made the most
significant impact in the history of the Reformation Era. Martin Luther 95 theses was one of the
most important results of the Reformation Era. Martin Luther came up with 95 theses that secured
the church door in Wittenburg. He speaks about the Lord and Jesus word of repent where he longed
his entire life to believers to be one of the remorse. The word repent cannot be understood as
mentioning to the sacrament of self–punishment which would be satisfaction and confessing as
controlled by the clergy. Inner repentance is insignificant except it produces numerous noticeable

Prayers for Booby movie was directed by Russell Mulcahy, and is based on the book written by
Leroy F. Aarons. The book was inspired by a true story. Aarons was also the founder of the National
Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. The movie portraits the story of Bobby Griffith a young
boy who is suffering of depression, as he is not able to cope with his feeling of being homosexual
and the burden that is imposed by his family and society. His mother, Mary simultaneously struggles
to understand what is happening to his son. Mary a Christian educated woman, daughter of a
prejudiced mother towards homosexuality. As well as living in a community that religiously and
socially was intolerant towards homosexuality. Therefore, she does not accept his son sexual
orientation and attempts to 'cure' him instead. Bobby not capable of coping with everything that is
happening after accepting he is gay and confessing it to his mother. Therefore, he feels guilty and
out of context following a deep depression does not find other exit than suicidal. Bobby's death
triggers a series of events and changes in his mother's life that will transform her way of thinking
completely. We perceive in this movie, first the feeling of the individual and the struggle to cope

This purpose of this paper is to explore the benefits and relevance of technology in the church.
There are a lot of different opinions and thoughts on this matter. What we are looking into is to see if
there is any real importance or need for combining the two and what the result would be. We will be
digging into what attributes help to further the kingdom of God. In such areas as worship, the
different tools and resources that technology has provided, and in a different way of evangelizing
with the help of technology.
With a new generation rising and an old generation still around there are many views that church
and technology are not supposed to coincide. Although with a view from some, many believe that
the benefits are indisputable. There are many different benefits that come from using the advances in
technology to benefit the Kingdom of God here on earth. I will be going over the different benefits
that associate with technology in the church. With this, I will be providing examples and references
from some different scholars, researchers, and professionals. I hope after reading this it will provide
you with a better understanding so that you can come to a conclusion on your own.

Yuet Kai Fai Sei. Construction began on the shrine in 1949 and was completed in 1957. Rev. Yuet

John Calvin Contribution
John Calvin was born in Noyon, France in 1509 to Jeanne Le France and Gérard Calvin.
His father was the secretary to the Bishop of Noyon, which allowed John the privilege to attend
universities later in life. His mother was known for being a beautiful religious woman, who died
about four years after John was born. He had an older brother named Charles and a younger one
named Antoine. His father, a religious man himself, brought up all three children in the church. His
father decided to remarry after his wife's death and made John live with the Montmors, a powerful
family that lived in their neighborhood. Calvin pursued studying theology, Latin, and philosophy.
He used this knowledge to train to become a priest. In the end, he studied law at the Universities of
Orleans and Bourges to become a lawyer. His career path was altered to pursue law, because his
father was paying for his education. Calvin grew up Roman Catholic, but became a Protestant
around 1534. He escaped to France the same year due to the prosecution of Protestants who were
being persecuted for not following the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. According to the
Oxford Dictionary, a protestant is "a member or follower of any of the Western Christian Churches
that are separate from the Roman Catholic Church in accordance with the principles of the

Eberhard Bethge writes, "At the root of his choice was a basic drive towards independence. This did
not exclude his insatiable appetite for all kinds of different knowledge, but the driving force in his

"focus on what was most remote from his previous experience, to understand it on ingenious terms
as far as possible, and then to let it adjust his own horizons" (Rasmussen, 35). In other words,

East-West Schism Vs. Eastern Orthodox Christianity
For the first one thousand years of their existence, these churches were the same institution. The
split between the Western and Eastern Christian churches into the Roman Catholic and Eastern
Orthodox churches is referred to as the Great Schism or, more definitively, the "East–West Schism",
which occurred in 1054. This occurred due to long–running cultural and theological differences,
power struggles, and lack of communication. Prominently they argued over what type bread
(leavened vs. unleavened) to use to represent the body of Christ in the Eucharist. Each side had

Geoffrey Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales in the late twelfth century and was one of the first
writers to communicate with the audience in an informal manner. Throughout The Canterbury Tales,
he observes the pilgrims on their journey to Canterbury. The people go on the pilgrimage to honor
Thomas A Becket, a martyr to those of the Catholic faith, others to socialize or to vacation.
Whatever their motive might be, Chaucer provides his audience with a brief description of each
individual. Among the pilgrims traveling with Chaucer, there is a friar named Hubert. Highlighting
the friars corrupt practices, reflects the Catholic Church's corruption during the medieval period. A
Friar acts as a symbol of the Catholic Church; therefore, his image should be one of humility and
poverty. However, he presents himself as a corrupt member of the church. Chaucer writes,
"Accorded it, as far as he could see, / To have sick lepers for acquaintances" (244–245). Considering
a friar begs in order to sustain himself, he should be familiar with the other beggars in town. Since
he only considers the beggars to be acquaintances, Chaucer views him as an immoral friar. Not only
does he think of the sick and poor only as acquaintances, he is friendly with every tavern and
barmaid in town (240–241). Chaucer presents him to be a selfish friar. By caring more for his well

church planting would be the catalyst that causes the experiment to boil over.
Relational models focus on sending Christians into their communities to gather and disciple people

When I think about service and how I can play a role in it, I think about community service. Since I
have been at Bethany I have been in a couple of different organizations and community service is
always a major focus. Right now, I am the active Pledge Master for the fraternity, Gamma Kappa
Alpha. By being in this leadership position I am obligated to help out the community and try to
make the people in my organization the best that they can be. There are multiple services that we
provide for the community, such as, volunteering for churches, helping out with residents yard care
and going to the retirement home to talk to and comfort the people who are living there. As of right
now, our frat is on probation, because last year we didn't meet the community requirements set by
the school. Since we are on probation and I am now a leader in the organization, I have been a part
of setting up a more activities and services that will help out the community. The other leaders of the
frat and I have worked hard on finding events that will help out the community to the best of our

our time to help out others rather than other options such as money and donations. I think that this

The Sacrament of Reconciliation calls for repentance and conversion of heart. This means, turning
away from sin and bad choices and turn towards God and others. Through this sacrament, members
of the Catholic Church can continue to experience God's mercy and forgiveness and are reconciled
with God, themselves and the church community. Catholics believe that through Reconciliation they
receive the grace and power from God to turn away from evil and turn to a new way of being.

For a society to function properly, hierarchies are established to ensure organization, collaboration,
and different levels of authority. While people in positions of power hold many responsibilities, man

The temple that we visited was the Abu Bakr Mosque, a Sunni temple, and the largest Islamic
Mosque in the state of Colorado. The temple can accommodate up to 3,000 people at its maximum.

building was purchased in 1974 and relocated to its current location. My first impression of the

My Visit to Catholic Church in Hialeah
A very nice catholic church in the city of Hialeah, very nice residents and the likes. Visiting

Holding Bibles rather than brutal torture weapons, the Jesuits contrasted the looks of their ancestors,
the harrowing Medieval Inquisitors. As the Jesuits, a group formed during the Renaissance with the
purpose of responding to the Reformation, traveled Europe and other countries, they slowed down
the spread of Protestantism by reaching out to non–Christians and educating people on the teachings

Christian Influences On Bonhoeffer's Life
Introduction On February 4, 1908 in Belarus, Germany, two children were born to Karl and Paula
Hase Bonhoeffer, and one of them would impact the world. Karl was an esteemed German
psychologist, and Paula came from an honorable and wealthy family. And on February 4, Dietrich
and his twin Sabine entered the world as the sixth and seventh child of the Bonhoeffer family. Little
did his parents know that one day, Dietrich would become a pastor, lead a paradigm shift in
Christian thinking, assist in attempt to assassinate a dictator, and give his life for everything he
believed in.

For the first time, Bonhoeffer heard the Gospel of Christ in all of its power. What greatly impacted
Bonhoeffer was the fact that despite the sufferings and mistreatments the African–American Church
members endured, they believed in such a powerful Gospel, and were faithfully walking in

through indulgences. Indulgences are rendered by a priest, yet licensed by the Pope, for the
forgiveness of the punishment of sins, through financial contribution or good works (Cunningham,

time one would spend in purgatory (Harris, Zucker). Purgatory is a holding cell for people, who

The Development Of Byzantine Architecture
Byzantine architecture is directly related to imperial traditions, to the Christian life and culture of
the Romans. A typical feature of Byzantium is the diverse ethnic composition that includes Greeks,
Thracians, Armenians, Syrians, Copts, Jews, Avars, Slavs and many others. This diversity of peoples
and cultures influences the overall development of Byzantine architecture. Christianity is an
important element shaping the overall appearance of the Byzantine culture.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German theologian, pastor and writer during the rise and ruling years of
the Weimar Republic, Nazi Germany. He was born in Breslau as the last of 8 children. Shorly after
his birth the family moved to Berlin (Ligus, 2015). Growing up in a family where his father was a
professor of psychiatry and neurology brought him into contact with academics which would help

According to Bonhoeffer, every true theology starts in prayer and involves Jesus Christ (Godsey,
2015). According to Bonhoeffer, the destroyers of the Christian community are those people who are
self–centered, thereby giving priority to their own individual goals as opposed to those of the
Christian community. Eventually, such people end up destroying the Christian union regardless of
their interests, thoughts, and intentions to uphold earnests, honesty, and sacrifices. According to the
theologian, God is against this wishful thinking and dreaming, which is egocentric, and in which
case the dreamer ends up being pretentious and proud (Godsey, 2015). This class of people joins the
Christian community with their personal demands already set up. Also, they set their own laws,
judge other people from the congregation and God on an equal measure. However, in his book, The
Cost of Discipleship, Bonhoeffer warns that people are not the builders of the church but rather
Christ is the one who builds it. He continues to maintain that those people who are too much
watchful about building the church ends up destroying it instead (Metaxas, 2010). In support of his
argument, Bonhoeffer argues that man will build temples to idols unintentionally and without
knowing it (reference). In that case, he argues that people should confess that Christ is the sole
builder of the church and hence must proclaim this aspect (Bonhoeffer, 1959). Christians must pray
to the Christ so that he can continue building the church. He also warns that humans cannot see or
judge Christ's plan as regards the church since the times that the Christians considers periods of
destruction may be Christ's time of great construction and the reverse (reference). The theologian
notes that Jesus gives a great comfort to the Church. Jesus requires of the Christians to bear witness,
preach, and confess and he alone will be build where it pleases
