My story follows a linear narrative as the events of the story happen in the order
that we see them. We started at the beginning of the story and end at the ending
and there are not flashback/flackforwards. This is because the young children
will be read/ be read it and if there was flashback/flackforwards this could very
easily confuse them.
The story has a closed narrative as it has a clear beginning and ending. This is
because as the target audience is young children this is more suited for them.
Also as a book it would be hard for it to have a continuing story without a
conclusion.
The story follows a one single storyline. This is because young children could
struggle to follow multiple storyline and event happening to different people.
Most children’s books are single strand.
The story is a anti-realist one as it involve magic beans, harps and hens and
giants and as these things aren’t real this makes the story anti-realist.
The book contains an opening and resolution.
