Upgrade your Public Site
Upgrade Process:
1. Prepare your existing site by making sure all pages are
checked in.
2. Install the Public Website Content Migration app on the new
website (found in the SharePoint Store).
3. Open the migration app in the new website and follow the
steps to install the app on the existing website.
4. Then, configure the app on the new website.
5. Finally, migrate content from your existing website to the new
website.
6. On the new website, test all the pages and functionality. Make
any needed adjustments.
7. Once the new website is ready, make it public on the Internet
and change its web address to your domain name.

  • 24. Upgrade your Public Site Upgrade Process: 1. Prepare your existing site by making sure all pages are checked in. 2. Install the Public Website Content Migration app on the new website (found in the SharePoint Store). 3. Open the migration app in the new website and follow the steps to install the app on the existing website. 4. Then, configure the app on the new website. 5. Finally, migrate content from your existing website to the new website. 6. On the new website, test all the pages and functionality. Make any needed adjustments. 7. Once the new website is ready, make it public on the Internet and change its web address to your domain name.
