Janney Capital Management, a division of Janney

Capital Management oversees more than $3.3 billion in
assets for individuals, corporations, and institutions.
All Cap Core Equity
The primary investment objective of the All Cap Core
Equity Strategy is capital appreciation. The Investment
Committee allocates opportunistically among compelling
equity securities, agnostic to market capitalization, style
orientation, or geographic location. Portfolio construction
is based on the Investment Committee’s macro-economic
views, combined with fundamental sector and security
analysis. Investments may include large, mid, and small
capitalizations, growth and value, and international
securities. Investment decisions are executed based upon
recommendations from the firm’s Investment Committee,
which uses a combination of internal and external research,
proprietary quantitative and qualitative screening, and
fundamental analysis. A deliberate focus on risk management
is applied at each step of the process: macro, portfolio
construction, and individual security levels. The portfolio
may also hold cash as an investment.

Janney Capital Management has once again been named
“Manager of the Decade”, and has also received a “Top
Guns” rating for the All Cap Core Equity Strategy for the
period ending December 31, 2013. The All Cap Core Equity
ranked among the highest of PSN’s 12/31/13 Top Gun
Managers—receiving six stars, the highest possible rating.
Using a combination of its clients’ top priority performance
screens, PSN Top Guns ranks products in six proprietary star
categories in over 50 universes. This quarterly ranking is used
widely by institutional asset managers and investors. PSN
previously presented the Janney Capital Management All Cap
Core Equity with a “Manager of the Decade” award in 2009
and 2010, and a Top Guns five-star rating in the fourth quarter
of 2012.

In 1984, Informa Investment Solutions, Inc. introduced the
first commercially available investment manager search and
evaluation database: Plan Sponsor Network, or PSN. PSN
offers financial professionals high-quality, in-depth data on
U.S., non-U.S., and global investment managers. There are
approximately 2,000 investment managers participating in
the PSN database, which covers more than 20,000 domestic
and international investment products.

PSN Top Guns performance rankings are tabulated for thousands of strategies
across peer groups subdivided by increasingly rigorous screens and reported in
ascending classes from 1-6 stars. The six-star category is evaluated as follows: The
peer groups are created using information collected through the PSN investment
manager questionnaire—using only gross of fee returns. Products must have an
R-Squared of 0.80 or greater relative to the style benchmark for the recent five-year
period. Products must also have returns greater than the style benchmark for the
three latest three-year rolling periods. After that, PSN selects only the products
for which standard deviation for the five-year period is equal to or less than the
median standard deviation for the peer group. The top 10 returns for the three-year
period then become the five-star Top Guns. The top 10 information ratios for the
five-year period become the six star Top Guns.
