2. DEFINITION
A lesson plan is a written guide for the trainer’s plan in
order to achieve the intended learning outcome based
on the objectives.
There are three types of plans for a teacher:
1. Yearly Plan
2. Block Plan
3. Daily Lesson Plan

3. Yearly Plan
It is a planning for a year, a year’s work.
It includes distribution of work/lesson in given
manner throughout the year.
It is a systematic calendar of lesson plans, holidays
and extra activities like sports day, school concert, etc.

4. Block Plan
Structures the academic semester, so that students
take a single course a block.
Generally a test follows after every block of lessons.
These tests are called Block Tests.

5. Daily Lesson Plan
Teacher’s detailed description of the course of instruction for a lesson.
Is developed by a teacher to guide class learning.
Detail will vary depending on the preference of the teacher, subject
being covered, and the need of the student.
