Hendrick Foundation Golf Tournament Plano Rotary Club New Hendrick Student Highlight: Karla Martinez, Hendrick Alumni - IN HER WORDS "Having a college degree has brought the opportunity of a better life, not only for me, but for my family as well. My college degree has given me the tools I need to achieve professional goals and keep constructing a successful career in the business world. In addition, being the first one in my family to graduate college has gained me the respect and admiration of my family; I have set an example for my nieces and nephew to pursue a career and follow their dreams. Without the blessing of the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, I would not be where I am today. As I was graduating High School, I so desperately wanted to attend college, but all the doors were closed and there seemed to be no opportunity for me to pursue my dreams. Hendrick Scholarship Foundation gave me, not only the economic support to continue my scholastic education, but also the guidance and moral support to succeed and graduate college with a degree of Bachelor of
