This event will be able to educate the Loyola community on a very serious neurological condition and allow them to get involved in raising money for
stroke research.
How does this activity advance the mission of your organization and benefit Loyola?
My organization believes that committing ourselves to philanthropic endeavors helps us "grow" into women. Thus, by getting involved in spread stroke

"Dear Phi Sigma Sigma, Thank you for submitting your SBR Funding Request for the Allocations Committee to consider. The Allocations Committee
serves a two-fold role: one, to serve as responsible stewards of the Student Activity Fund (SAF), which is designed to fund events put on by our
university’s 209 registered student organizations and, two, to help assist all student organizations through not only the funding process, but also the
planning processes that go into each event to help ensure their success. We heard 119 requests during the spring 2013 SBR funding cycle and
without submissions like yours we would not have the opportunity to fund programs. The Allocations Committee wants to fund every event, but it holds
the registered student organizations requests to a standard it sees as aligning with its role as a responsible steward of the SAF and SAF policies.
Based on the request your organization submitted and your organizations SBR hearing, the Allocations Committee has funded your Stroke Awareness
Fundraiser event for the full amount requested by your organization. Please review the line item descriptions in the line item portion of your event’s
request to see the specific totals the Allocations Committee has allocated. Thank you, again, for you submission, we are glad to have funded your
event. Now that you have been funded please set up a meeting with the office of Student Activities and Greek Affairs (SAGA) to proceed with the next
stages of your event. Also, RSOs are required to complete the Activity Request Form for all programs and activities outside of general or organization
meetings. Please complete the Activity Request Form by following this link. https://orgsync.com/10580/forms/52482 The Allocations Committee would
like to extend itself as a planning tool for any of your future events. Our committee is only successful when events are successfully funded, and we aim
to help all event planners take the proper steps toward getting funded. We will be holding office hours to meet with student organizations regarding any
funding questions. The dates will be advertised on Orgsync and the USGA website (www.loyolausga.com), so please be looking for our schedule.
Cordially, Blake Baiers Chair of the Allocations Committee "
