2. Q4. Who is your target audience for your Music
Magazine?
My Target audience for my magazine is
Teenagers aged 16-19 Teenagers who
love R&B I think my magazine will be
more eye catching to females more than
males because of the color scheme , My
color scheme for my magazine is red
,The reason it can be targeted towards
males is because there is also black and
white In my magazine , My target
audience can also be young singer
songwriters , If they like and sing R&B
music. People who are regular R&B
magazine buyers will automatically buy
my magazine as it is a new magazine
and some people have a hobby of
collecting magazines.
3. What kind of people might buy your
magazine?
People who like R&B , Teenagers who follow R&B
, they might follow R&B Fashion , so male readers
might follow Chris Brown’s dress sense , as they
might find it cool and attractive and Female
readers might follow Rihanna , as most people
think she is sexy and pretty , These are two
popular artists in the music Industry so this
would have a very big impact on the readers.
Ordinary people who are singer/songwriters ,
people who are trying to make a career out of
music might buy my magazine , If their type of
music is R&B then they would like to have the
new latest idea of what R&B music is all about.
People who are regular R&B magazine buyers will
automatically buy my magazine as it is a new
magazine and some people have a hobby of
collecting certain R&B magazines that they will
keep for a long period of time.
4. Q5.How did you attract and address
them?
In my music magazine to attract the readers I have
done a question and answer interview , The front
cover has advertisement , But the most important
thing on the page that attracts the readers is the
main Image , My color scheme for my front cover is
red black and white , and I only have one main
image this will be eyes catching to the readers, If
the readers see a image that they like then that will
intrigue them to read , therefor buy the magazine.
To address the readers I have done an article , I
have done a question and answer interview , as this
is a R&B artist , I have used questions that are quite
personal to the artist but at the same time letting
the readers/fans get to know him a bit better.
5. What sort of language have you used
to attract the readers?
The language I have used in my media product is
very slang , R&B has factors of rapping , gangster
type , can also be good and bad , I have not used
bad language or have spoken bad words about
anyone in my magazine , In my article I did a
question and answer interview and the questions
were personal but not too personal that the artist
would feel annoyed or awkward when answering
them. His answers were exactly how he spoke , He
was very polite and well spoken , polite manners .
Due to this I would say that I have looked at the
more positive side of R&B then the negative side.
As there is a lot of fighting , crime in the R&B
industry , there are also things like rap battles. The
language I have used makes it look as if the artist is
quite funny and charming but also serious in his
music , and this is what the readers/fans would like.
