2. Why am I making this magazine?
• My purpose to making this film magazine is to inform my readers
about the latest thriller films coming out, as well as entertaining
them, in a way that they can use my magazine as a stress buster and
escapism for their busy lives.

4. Why do I plan to do this with a thriller film
magazine?
• I picked specifically thriller to make a film magazine on as thriller
films uses certain techniques such as suspense to build the audience
up and make them feel a sense of excitement. I can then build on this
aspect of suspense and use it in my film magazine for subjects such as
Q&A's from thriller movie actors and competitions involving the
magazine and use it for my advantage, such as stylizing the Q&A
sections in a way that you won't get the next answer until you turn
the page. As well as this, it's been shown that the thriller genre is one
of the most liked genres of film, alongside family, horror and comedy.
With this fact, I can therefore target to a much wider range of people.
5. What is my target audience?
• My primary target audience is 15-18 year olds. The reason being is
that most thriller films are rated 15, so I have to adjust my primary
target audience accordingly to make my magazine suitable for my
audience.
- My secondary target audience are 50-60 year olds. These group of
people usually consist of people who watched classic thriller films
when they were a teenager, such as the old James Bond movies, and
perhaps want to have a nostalgia trip by reading my film magazine
and reminiscing on those memories.
- They are also for any gender, race or ethnicity.
7. How do I plan to distribute and market my
magazine?
• For my primary target audience, I plan to advertise my magazine on
social media, such as Twitter and Instagram. This is because 15-18
year olds tend to be on social media a lot more.
• However, for my secondary target audience, I plan to put up fliers on
busy high streets, as 50-60 year olds are more likely to be outside
than on social media, giving them a higher likelihood of seeing the
flier and therefore look to buy my magazine.
8. What is my colour scheme?
• My colour scheme will be bright shades of blue, red and purple. This
is to highlight the thriller film centerpoint my magazine is about, as
thriller films are usually filled with a lot of tension and things going
on, which my colour scheme then connotes.
