Executive Summary
It now almost goes without saying that there are lots of exciting things that can be done with beacons,
from offering smartphone owners real-time information, content and marketing messages in stores and
other venues to helping the visually impaired, enhancing the experience of being in an art museum to
enabling self-service, skip-the-line hotel check-in.
Priced at <$30 per beacon. They have a multi-year battery life. And are easy to install even by non-
technical staff.
But the problem is managing 100’s and 1000’s of such devices across a large venue like a super market
or an airport or even an entire city, which warrants a Beacon Management Solution.

Beacon Standards
Beacons are primarily of two types
1. iBeacon (Apple’s Standard), and
2. EddyStone (Google’s Standard)
Both operating over Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 protocol.
The Automatski Beacon Management Solution consists of
1. Cloud Platform (Config, CMS, Analytics, Dashboard’s)

The first component is a Remote Cloud Based Global Beacon Management Platform. It allows for
