This document provides information about and examples of different types of conditional sentences in English: - Conditional 0 describes situations that are always true. - Conditional 1 uses "if" with the present tense to describe possible future events. - Conditional 2 uses "if" with the past tense to describe unlikely or imaginary scenarios. - Conditional 3 uses "if" with the past perfect tense to describe imaginary past situations. The document includes examples for each type of conditional and prompts for filling in personal information.

Conditional 1
Often called the "real" conditional because it is
used for real - or possible - situations. These
situations take place if a certain condition is met.

If it rains, we will stay at home.

Second Conditional
Often called the "unreal" conditional because it is used
for unreal - impossible or improbable –
situations. This conditional provides an imaginary
result for a given situation.
If clause + Result clause
If +  + past + C ,  + would/could + V + C
If I were you, I would ask for help.
If she didn’t speak English, she wouldn’t get the job.
