Half of his face is covered with a purple shade which means there are two sides of Manson but not as black and white as a good guy and a bad guy. The magazine is clearly focusing on Manson because there is not a lot of righting and if there is it relates to Manson, aside from the text there is a medium shot of Manson covering mostly all of the page which clearly indicates the focus is on this “ROCK STAR”. As always Manson has appeared in a fashion that doesn't suggest his gender, he could either be a male or female which is Manson’s main point in which he portraits in his videos and songs. Clearly with this image he has one again succeeded as it states what Manson's statement is.

Rolling Stones This Magazine like the last one clearly has focused on Mason which means even though Marilyn Manson is the name of his band they are more interested in Mason himself as his face is a close up image on the page and the text around his face talk about his fame and other things relating to Manson and his style of life. This could be because other than his band members Manson is the one who is well known therefore the magazine would sell best if Manson was the focus of the magazine, as fans or others will know his face more than his band members. Manson is famously wearing his unusual make up which expresses who he is as a character and maybe as a real person. His famous coloured eyes are known everywhere which is the first give away that it Marilyn Manson. Manson is still an unknown gender with this appearance.

Rolling Stones In this magazine Marilyn Manson is less of a Focus because it was at the beginning of his fame and other things such as other celebrities and other articles where needed along side Marilyn Manson to sell the magazine. Marilyn Manson is wearing a body armour which again doesn't suggest any gender and suggests that he has a heart where as maybe some of his music doesn't. To sell the magazine Manson had to talk about more intimate things like his sex life and over all his personal life however in the other magazines his work and fame was enough to catch fans and readers.
8. In this magazine Manson is only one of the celebrities on the cover which again suggests his lack of fame yet. His style has also not formed yet as he has fallen in the conventions of the gothic/rock look however later on he forms his own style. However Manson is amongst famous celebrities which is a good publicity.
