2. Specs
• The base of the mountain should be wide enough to have 300 name tags.
• The mountain will be sectioned to show various levels of reading
accomplishment.
• The mural wall is 15 feet 9 inches wide x 10 feet 2 inches tall.
• A 3 feet x 3 feet space to the left of the mural (above the door) will
showcase the sponsor’s logo.

15. Accelerated Reader Overview
The Accelerated Reader Program is a school wide reading
incentive program that provides teachers and students with
a fun and exciting way to promote reading practice.
Students find a book on their reading level and then take
an independent comprehension test on the
computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points
based on its length and reading level. Students work
towards different point goals according to their grade level
and earn reading rewards given weekly during their
ancillary time in the Media Center/Library.

16. Friends of Field (FoF) Overview
FoF is a neighborhood, grassroots organization joined
together to support and enhance Field Elementary though
involvement with educators, the students, and the
community. We believe that excellence in education and
diversity in schools will enrich students' lives.
