I would observe the way the customers would buy there cereal as well, such is the customers had
kids or by observing there basket was there a possibility that health consciousness may be an issue. I
would start Friday night at Kroger at Brewers Yard, which is a large Kroger store that also feature a
liqueur store and a bistro. The demographics is very diverse due to it central location and the
surrounding neighborhoods. This store can cater to traditional working class urbanites to the affluent

Once I was in the cereal aisle, I would notice that besides cereal the also contained other breakfast
foods such as Pop Tarts, breakfast bars, and oatmeal. The aisle also contained products to make
other breakfast food such as an egg poacher and a breakfast sandwich maker. Finally I would
observe that the area also was where the Tea and hot chocolate is located which usually complement
breakfast. I would next focus on the Cereal Aisle I would first discover how the cereal was arranged.

and his brother Dr, John Harvey, started the company in 1868. In 1898 they were able to create the
first flake created from toasted maize and in 1902 they were able to create a cereal with a longer
shelf life. The company started out really small, they only accepted orders through mail and they
sold primarily to people they were affiliated with. They eventually came up with the idea to brand
themselves and they posted ads in newspapers and on billboards; this was the time that people

health continues to decline. What has helped to cause this terrible battle? Sugar. Even though it may
pack a great taste, sugar has captured and addicted us to it. Our addiction to sugar has negative
consequences such as severe chronic disease and obesity. Americans need to reduce sugar
consumption to prevent, cure, or limit problems of chronic disease, addiction, and obesity. One of
the first discussions about sugar similar to ours today occurred in the 1670s. Thomas Willis, the
medical advisor to the duke of York and King Charles noticed an increase in diabetes at a time when
drinking sugared tea was newly common. In those days, people believed sugar good for you and fine
to give babies. Today, this seems obviously wrong. People used sugar as a medicine in the past, but
as its price dropped its use shifted to an additive for food as a sweetener. With the industrial
revolution, sugar production improved and sugar as a result cheapened. For a poor person, sugar
provides a cheap luxury. During the Great Depression, the annual per capita sugar consumption was
16 pounds higher than in 1920. Come World War II, the government stated that you do not need
sugar in a healthy diet to take the sting away from the rationing of it. After that, sugar's popularity
soared, although many think differently about sugar today. Sugar consumption really took off in the
twentieth century. Ice cream consumption doubled between 1940 and 1956 with the advent and
popularization of the refrigerator. Refrigerators allow people to stay in the homes and have ice
cream and sugary drinks like never before because refrigerators are cheap enough to buy for regular

My Experience In My Life
I woke up at 6:00 am on October 17th, a Tuesday and two days before MEA. I followed my
morning routine by turning on my tv in my bedroom to watch Seinfeld as I did my make up and
straightened my hair. I check the forecast on my phone, sunny and a little breezy with a high of 76
degrees, perfect weather. I picked out my new blue Briar Cliff University sweatshirt and my red low
rise converse and started gathering some lemonade cans. My mom had bought a twelve pack of
lemonade that was too sugary and she had instructed me to give it out to my classmates. Before
running out the door I grabbed two Great Value brand waffles, which are just yellow knock offs of
Eggo Waffles. I usually showed up at school around 7:10am to ask for help and work on homework.
I spent the first hours of school making a protein shake for my science teacher and handing out
lemonade to the chemistry class. Then at the start of Block 3, I went back into my car to get more
lemonade. It should only have taken fifteen minutes, I wanted to come back to work on my trig
homework . I left my backpack at the school before I went out into the school parking lot to find my
grey impala. I pulled up to my house and left the car running as I rush through the house to my room
