Automated Distribution Verification System
AUTOMATED DISTRIBUTION VERIFICATION SYSTEM is an automated system which allows delivery boys to verify
delivered goods very quickly and updates the data in the SAP online. The system includes two applications:
1. A web service hosted on windows server environment that interacts with SAP using SAP.NET connectors.
2. A Windows CE based application that helps delivery boys to verify the goods delivered and updates SAP
online.
The first part of the system is a web service. The web service uses SAP.NET connectors to interact with SAP system
and provides an interface to the Windows CE application to perform various operations.
The second part is a Windows CE application that provides an interface to delivery boys to perform various
verification tasks.

Windows CE application
Windows CE application is an application that allows delivery boys
to verify the goods delivered in a particular vehicle. The
application works with barcodes that means the application scans
barcodes on the goods and verifies with the data it has for a
particular vehicle. The application also runs in offline mode when
connectivity to the web service is not available and the
verification process does not stop.
Below steps describe the flow of the application:
1. The application downloads all the data for the given vehicle number in the local database.
2. After downloading the data, application allows to scan barcodes.
3. On each scan, application verifies the barcode number using the web service and decides whether it is
correct, or not. The web service immediately updates scan status of that particular barcode in SAP.
4. If connectivity to the web service is not available, the application uses its local database to verify the
barcode number and updates the scan status in the local database. In this scenario, the application will
update all the data stored locally when connectivity is available.
5. After scanning all the barcodes, application provides summary for all the scanned barcodes.
6. The application also allows re-verifying barcodes that were incorrect in first attempt and export the
summary.
