the 7 edition of Taare' Zameen Par, Event
Chairman PP Rtn. B.S.Ravikumar said last
Thursday that it was extremely satisfying for
him that the event has grownfrom strength to
strength over the years – whether it was the
planning, design or execution. He personally
thanked Rotarians Kaleem, Sunil and indeed
each one who has been directly or indirectly
behind the success of the event. TZP started
off with less than 200 participants and today it
has nearly 800 from 18 schools, and each one
of them were given prizes or mementos, he
said. The auditorium was jam-packed with
satisfied parents and well-wishers. He
thanked PDG Lakshminarayan for the
auditorium, the transport facility providers –
NIE, NIE-IT, Vijaya Vittala, Chaitra, Rotary
School etc – and the drivers for their promptness and service. Special
words to Mission Hospital for their First Aid service, kudos to the
photographers, Inner Wheelers, Soften Infoscions, Rotaractors, and all
the Rotarians who made this happen, he said. Hats off to the parents of
the kids for their unbridled caring and affection, to the teachers for their
infinite patience, making us ask the poignant question on the ways of
the Creator! On behalf of Rotary Mysore, PDG R. Guru and PDG M.
Lakshminarayan handed over flowers to each and every one behind the
event. Rtn. Kaleem was honoured for his selfless service to TZP over the
years.
The meeting ended with Rtn. Kaleem apty quoting Allama Iqbal,
indicating that what we have done is only the tip of the iceberg, and
