History of Somavamsha Sahasrarjun Kshatriya
4. ROHINI NAKSHATRA
PANCHANGA SUMMARY
Murlidharsa F. Kalburgi
The SSK race has its own
dialect with its own speciali-
ties. It is intimately related
to the Devanagari script as is
said by the Bhuteshwarnath
Swamiji. If we view our dia-
lect scrupulously now we find
that we almost identical with
the Gujarati language. Our
ancestors hailed from Gu-
jrat, Rajsthan, Khatmandu
(Nepalk) and Mundagod (the
rulers of Gad who owned al-
legiance to the kings). The
forts are called Killa Gad.
This race (SSK) has been us-
ing the Hemad Panthi (Nag-
modi) script since ages and
in course of time, it has in-
corporated the vocabulary
of the regional languages.
In Maharastra the marathi
words, in Karnataka the
kannada words and in An-
drapradesh the telugu words
beside the Islam words and
so on. Thus, the SSK tongue
has taken on various forms
in different regions.
The SSK tongue now
called popular as ‘Pattegar’
language. There has been
variations depending on the
regional differences and in-
fluences. Mark certain word
endings – sa/cha. Kava aay-
os? (When did you come?)
and kava aayoch? In Souras-
tra (Gujrat) sa is used but in
kachch (Gujrat) cha is used.
In Kachch region ‘avache’
is in vogue and in Souras-
tra aayose or aawase are in
practice. Thus there have
been regional differences.
The reasearchers of languag-
es and experts in the field of
dilacts should throw light on
these issues. The dialect is
mixed with the regional lan-
guage and the vocabulary
has grown diversely. The
unity and the integrity of the
SSK Samaj at the national
level needs the awareness of
the regional differences and
unified script is our dire need
of the hour.

THE SSK DIALECT
In Bhaga chakra, Rohini
Nakshatra is the 4th one. It
is ranging from 40-00 to 53-
20. It is a cluster of 5 stars.
This nakshatras 1, 2,3 and
4th padas come in Vrush-
abha (Taurus) rashi. The
Adi deva of this nakshatra
is Brahmadeva. Sri Vishnu’s
great avatar Srikrishna told
Bhagvadgita in this nak-
shatra only. Mahabharat’s
Bhima also born in this nak-
shatra. People who will born
in this nakshatra will destroy
evils.
Pura, Gram (Village),
Metro City primary works,
House Opening ceremo-
nies, Lake, Well and Dam’s
constructions starts in this
naksjatra. This nakhsatra is
good to start big buildings,
big entrepreneurial start ups
and all good works.
People who will born in this
nakshatra will lead a com-
manding and rich life. Roh-
inians are sweet tongued,
good character, clever and
smart.
Incase of Rohini Nak-
shatra, the names start with:
1st pada O, 2nd pada Vaa,
3rd pada Vi, 4th pada Voo.
People born in 1st pada
should wear Havala, 2nd
pada Diamond, 3rd pada
Emerald Green, 4th pada
pearls, total 2 carrot or more
weighed pearls should be
used.
Things to do for Rohin-
ians:
Mrugshira, Chitta,
Dhanistha are best for you
to get Dhan Sampattu (Mon-
ey). So this is the suitable
time to do business, em-
ployment and other money
related tasks.
Ounarvasu, Vishakha,
Purvashadh are best to bring
welfare, so welfare related
works can be started this
time.
Ashlesha, Jestha, Revati
are best to bring success.
So it is the suitable time to
start works related to new
businesses, big factory pro-
jects, communication relat-
ed works and adventurous
works.
Hubba, Purvashadh, Bha-
rani are friendly stars. This
is the suitable time to start
partnership ventures, rela-
tionship works.

Unity and Co- operation
is necessary for our sur-
vival as also for our devel-
opment. This requires the
enlargement of our vision.
We need a broad outlook
of life. We must shun our
petty selfishness and greed
and jealousy . We must try
to appreciate others and
their achievements. We
must try to help others and
lift others and motivate oth-
ers. We must try to become
the role-models for others.
Mere money, power and
position will not fetch us a
position to advise others. If
only what we say what we
do and if only mean what
we say, we become lead-
ers.
We need such leaders
now. Moral excellence can
alone make us leaders. The
ssk samaj requires such
leadership now to trans-
form our samaj in to a solid
part of the broader samaj
of our country.
We earnestly appeal our
organizations to conduct
leadership camps, training
sessions and workshops
emphasizing the moral ex-
cellence in all out dealings,
and in our interpersonal in-
teractions.
We appeal to our vari-
ous organizations to con-
duct workshops to lnte-
grate the skills that are
required for the various vo-
cations and jobs. We have
to strive hard to enhance
the levels of general com-
petancy as part of the vo-
cational training. The needs
of the younger generations
in empowering themselves
to achieve success in the
face of stiff competitions,
should become our priority.
If only we make concerted
efforts in this regard, we
can do the best services to
our community.
The leaders and the en-
thusiastic organizers should
devise the priorities of the
social services besides the
religious functions; we also
have to think of doing ser-
vices to our community. We
have to assertain the prob-
lems that afflict our com-
munity and make ourselves
conscious of the bogging
issues. And that works like
a magic. We must prepare
the fertile ground for our
younger generations to
grow meaningfully and to
the expected standards.
Bring about an expected
social change .
We should not merely
depend on will come to our
aid or help, if we do not
make an effort ourselves. If
we have the determination
to do something , we are
sure to find a way of doing
will turn out to be easy to
accomplish if we go on with
determination. All difficul-
ties or obstacles melt be-
fore a strong will of a man.
What is the use of a brain
if it is not put to use? God-
dess Durgamata will come
to our help only when we
make an effort.
So, let us start debating
the vital issues and prob-
lems afflicting our commu-
nity today on the social and
educational planes. We ap-
peal to the connoisseurs of
our samaj to air their views
and remedies. We invite
your opinions, responses.
Samasta Sanmangalani
Bhavantu.
LET US TOGETHER WORK FOR
THE UPLIFTMENT OF OUR SAMAJ.

RANGATARANG-ANNAUL SOCIAL GATEHRING
@ SRI RANGANATAH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Sree Venkatesh Kalburgi
writes on Late Shri B.S. Ran-
ganath (ICON BY NAME AN-
NADAATHA PRABHU) like this:
The Adulation, love and
respect that Ranga mama re-
ceived during the cremation
was phenomenal. There was
a large mob gathered at the
cremation ground, I have not
seen such a huge mob in my
life. The Rudrabhoomi was
filled with mourners and hom-
age seekers; everyone was
trying to make sense of what
they have lost or what samaj
have lost. Many might have
taken him for granted now will
miss him irreplaceably.
By his deeds in his life he
had already reserved a very
high place for his Atma, The
amount of Homage seekers and
mourners visited have made
him Reach highest place pos-
sible where he will be among
Gods. What pulls another Atma
towards a Departed, whether it
is obligation, bondage, duty or
Love I personally feel it has to
be his lifetime earnings, how
much money he has earned,
how much properties he has
acquired all becomes immate-
rial when nobody misses him
or remembers him.
Let me tell u a conversa-
tion between two close friends,
where one friend is depressed
and frustrated by his failure in
his life, tries to commit suicide
wherein the other friend res-
cues him and slaps him and
says “you have no right to die,
what you have achieved? No
worries, if you have not earned
money, you have only earned
me, your only friend, at least
earn three more friends before
you die, four of us can carry
you after your death, I alone
cannot carry you”. This shows
Ranga mama had earned the
whole samaj and also other
friends in his lifetime. By his
deeds he has motivated many
to do things beyond their abili-
ties; he had faced looming
large adversities in young age
and had risen to the occasion
reaching the stage of Karma
yogi.
Swami Vivekananda said
“Religion is not for the emp-
ty stomach”, I can safely say
when Ran-
ga mama
was around
n o b o d y
had empty
s t o m a c h .
Annadaata
Sukibhava
is what the
inner voice of everyone says
when they receive good and
tasty food as there’s a say-
ing “Easiest way to win heart
is through stomach” and An-
nadaatha Prabhu Ranga Mama
was in each and everyone’s
heart. He has left his family a
great legacy and responsibility
to fulfill and definitely they will
carry forward the baton ahead.
God bless their family.
Listening patiently to the el-
ders and their experiences will
teach us a lot and we can be-
come wiser and wiser day by
day and gain the knowledge
of handling the situations in a
better way. I have been lucky
in that sense have been listen-
ing to community elders with
intent since the past ten years.
There’s a saying ‘’ Paapi Chi-
rayu ‘’ means a PAAP Atma will
get another day to live but a
PUNYA Atma like Ranga mama
is called by Gods as early as
possible saying “Hey your work
is done here, you have done
enough you are urgently re-
quired elsewhere where paapis
are increasing” where as PAAP
Atma is spared to suffer here
longer where he is a headache
to god as well to take him and
put him again elsewhere. Swa-
mi Vivekananda said “Silence
of good people is more dam-
aging then the actions of bad
people” therefore vacuum cre-
ated by Ranga mama in SSK
Society has to be filled with
able and efficient people as the
SSK Society is more vulnerable
than ever before as the antiso-
cial elements monopoly might
result in liquidating all the good
work done by previous elders
who had the tenacity to keep
our community together. Now
it is our entire community’s
prerogative to choose wisely
and make Ranga mama and all
our elders proud.

TOUR AND TRAVEL TIMES
Gotagodi village, Shiggaon
Taluk, Haveri District, Karna-
taka Utsav Rock Garden- which
is located in the midst of nature
with beautiful nature and hillocks.
A place blended with modern and
contemporary art which portrays
our ancestral life style, culture and
tradition. “Utsav” the word itself
defines the meaning- festival of joy
and happiness. It is not only a lei-
sure/amusement park but a hub of
art, culture and education.
Garden has more than thousand sculp-
tures where one will definitely give a sec-
ond look thinking it to be real. As we enter
into the garden we can the Sculptures of
one of the pioneer personality of Kannada
film industry Dr.Raj Kumar, portraying his
several famous roles in cinema. Next, we
can see the beautiful water fountain where
a sculpture of children depicts the different
phases of child growth.
Rural village like atmosphere is set up
where we can the sculptures of rural pro-
fessions involved in their daily household
activities. It gives us a feeling like we have
entered into our ancestral phase where
sculptures narrates us the beautiful story
of our culture and tradition and how they
lived together sharing common facilities
and which helped them to support each
other even in amidst of thousands of odds.
Illustration of Traditional farming tech-
niques right from ploughing the fields to
harvesting their yield has been wonder-
fully represented through sculptures. Here
they have also showed us the phases of
change in the transport system. Differ-
ent professions of village like Goldsmith,
Astrologer, Blacksmith, Cobbler, Carpen-
ter, Tailor, Farmer etc have been displayed
through sculptures.
Garden is designed in such a way that
people won’t get exposed much to sun-
light as they have planted number of trees
which gives us shade and cool breeze.
Artists have worked so beautifully that
even the minute things like body posture,
dressing style and the way of communi-
cation is also wonderfully designed and
have infused the life into these sculptures.
I suggest one should definitely visit it once
during their life time because this is the
place where it showcases our culture and
tradition to our young generations which
has been vanished in this fast paced envi-
ronment.
The thought behind this beautiful con-
cept is given by Prof T B Solabakkanavar
who is one of the renowned artists in Kar-
nataka and Prakash Dasanur who is the
Managing Partner of this garden.

  • 2. 2 Date : 05-03-2015Ssk times ENGLISH MONTHLY. Gadag Murlidharsa F. Kalburgi History of Somavamsha Sahasrarjun Kshatriya 4. ROHINI NAKSHATRA PANCHANGA SUMMARY Murlidharsa F. Kalburgi The SSK race has its own dialect with its own speciali- ties. It is intimately related to the Devanagari script as is said by the Bhuteshwarnath Swamiji. If we view our dia- lect scrupulously now we find that we almost identical with the Gujarati language. Our ancestors hailed from Gu- jrat, Rajsthan, Khatmandu (Nepalk) and Mundagod (the rulers of Gad who owned al- legiance to the kings). The forts are called Killa Gad. This race (SSK) has been us- ing the Hemad Panthi (Nag- modi) script since ages and in course of time, it has in- corporated the vocabulary of the regional languages. In Maharastra the marathi words, in Karnataka the kannada words and in An- drapradesh the telugu words beside the Islam words and so on. Thus, the SSK tongue has taken on various forms in different regions. The SSK tongue now called popular as ‘Pattegar’ language. There has been variations depending on the regional differences and in- fluences. Mark certain word endings – sa/cha. Kava aay- os? (When did you come?) and kava aayoch? In Souras- tra (Gujrat) sa is used but in kachch (Gujrat) cha is used. In Kachch region ‘avache’ is in vogue and in Souras- tra aayose or aawase are in practice. Thus there have been regional differences. The reasearchers of languag- es and experts in the field of dilacts should throw light on these issues. The dialect is mixed with the regional lan- guage and the vocabulary has grown diversely. The unity and the integrity of the SSK Samaj at the national level needs the awareness of the regional differences and unified script is our dire need of the hour. Continued... THE SSK DIALECT In Bhaga chakra, Rohini Nakshatra is the 4th one. It is ranging from 40-00 to 53- 20. It is a cluster of 5 stars. This nakshatras 1, 2,3 and 4th padas come in Vrush- abha (Taurus) rashi. The Adi deva of this nakshatra is Brahmadeva. Sri Vishnu’s great avatar Srikrishna told Bhagvadgita in this nak- shatra only. Mahabharat’s Bhima also born in this nak- shatra. People who will born in this nakshatra will destroy evils. Pura, Gram (Village), Metro City primary works, House Opening ceremo- nies, Lake, Well and Dam’s constructions starts in this naksjatra. This nakhsatra is good to start big buildings, big entrepreneurial start ups and all good works. People who will born in this nakshatra will lead a com- manding and rich life. Roh- inians are sweet tongued, good character, clever and smart. Incase of Rohini Nak- shatra, the names start with: 1st pada O, 2nd pada Vaa, 3rd pada Vi, 4th pada Voo. People born in 1st pada should wear Havala, 2nd pada Diamond, 3rd pada Emerald Green, 4th pada pearls, total 2 carrot or more weighed pearls should be used. Things to do for Rohin- ians: Mrugshira, Chitta, Dhanistha are best for you to get Dhan Sampattu (Mon- ey). So this is the suitable time to do business, em- ployment and other money related tasks. Ounarvasu, Vishakha, Purvashadh are best to bring welfare, so welfare related works can be started this time. Ashlesha, Jestha, Revati are best to bring success. So it is the suitable time to start works related to new businesses, big factory pro- jects, communication relat- ed works and adventurous works. Hubba, Purvashadh, Bha- rani are friendly stars. This is the suitable time to start partnership ventures, rela- tionship works. Continued... Unity and Co- operation is necessary for our sur- vival as also for our devel- opment. This requires the enlargement of our vision. We need a broad outlook of life. We must shun our petty selfishness and greed and jealousy . We must try to appreciate others and their achievements. We must try to help others and lift others and motivate oth- ers. We must try to become the role-models for others. Mere money, power and position will not fetch us a position to advise others. If only what we say what we do and if only mean what we say, we become lead- ers. We need such leaders now. Moral excellence can alone make us leaders. The ssk samaj requires such leadership now to trans- form our samaj in to a solid part of the broader samaj of our country. We earnestly appeal our organizations to conduct leadership camps, training sessions and workshops emphasizing the moral ex- cellence in all out dealings, and in our interpersonal in- teractions. We appeal to our vari- ous organizations to con- duct workshops to lnte- grate the skills that are required for the various vo- cations and jobs. We have to strive hard to enhance the levels of general com- petancy as part of the vo- cational training. The needs of the younger generations in empowering themselves to achieve success in the face of stiff competitions, should become our priority. If only we make concerted efforts in this regard, we can do the best services to our community. The leaders and the en- thusiastic organizers should devise the priorities of the social services besides the religious functions; we also have to think of doing ser- vices to our community. We have to assertain the prob- lems that afflict our com- munity and make ourselves conscious of the bogging issues. And that works like a magic. We must prepare the fertile ground for our younger generations to grow meaningfully and to the expected standards. Bring about an expected social change . We should not merely depend on will come to our aid or help, if we do not make an effort ourselves. If we have the determination to do something , we are sure to find a way of doing will turn out to be easy to accomplish if we go on with determination. All difficul- ties or obstacles melt be- fore a strong will of a man. What is the use of a brain if it is not put to use? God- dess Durgamata will come to our help only when we make an effort. So, let us start debating the vital issues and prob- lems afflicting our commu- nity today on the social and educational planes. We ap- peal to the connoisseurs of our samaj to air their views and remedies. We invite your opinions, responses. Samasta Sanmangalani Bhavantu. LET US TOGETHER WORK FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF OUR SAMAJ. RANGATARANG-ANNAUL SOCIAL GATEHRING @ SRI RANGANATAH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Sree Venkatesh Kalburgi writes on Late Shri B.S. Ran- ganath (ICON BY NAME AN- NADAATHA PRABHU) like this: The Adulation, love and respect that Ranga mama re- ceived during the cremation was phenomenal. There was a large mob gathered at the cremation ground, I have not seen such a huge mob in my life. The Rudrabhoomi was filled with mourners and hom- age seekers; everyone was trying to make sense of what they have lost or what samaj have lost. Many might have taken him for granted now will miss him irreplaceably. By his deeds in his life he had already reserved a very high place for his Atma, The amount of Homage seekers and mourners visited have made him Reach highest place pos- sible where he will be among Gods. What pulls another Atma towards a Departed, whether it is obligation, bondage, duty or Love I personally feel it has to be his lifetime earnings, how much money he has earned, how much properties he has acquired all becomes immate- rial when nobody misses him or remembers him. Let me tell u a conversa- tion between two close friends, where one friend is depressed and frustrated by his failure in his life, tries to commit suicide wherein the other friend res- cues him and slaps him and says “you have no right to die, what you have achieved? No worries, if you have not earned money, you have only earned me, your only friend, at least earn three more friends before you die, four of us can carry you after your death, I alone cannot carry you”. This shows Ranga mama had earned the whole samaj and also other friends in his lifetime. By his deeds he has motivated many to do things beyond their abili- ties; he had faced looming large adversities in young age and had risen to the occasion reaching the stage of Karma yogi. Swami Vivekananda said “Religion is not for the emp- ty stomach”, I can safely say when Ran- ga mama was around n o b o d y had empty s t o m a c h . Annadaata Sukibhava is what the inner voice of everyone says when they receive good and tasty food as there’s a say- ing “Easiest way to win heart is through stomach” and An- nadaatha Prabhu Ranga Mama was in each and everyone’s heart. He has left his family a great legacy and responsibility to fulfill and definitely they will carry forward the baton ahead. God bless their family. Listening patiently to the el- ders and their experiences will teach us a lot and we can be- come wiser and wiser day by day and gain the knowledge of handling the situations in a better way. I have been lucky in that sense have been listen- ing to community elders with intent since the past ten years. There’s a saying ‘’ Paapi Chi- rayu ‘’ means a PAAP Atma will get another day to live but a PUNYA Atma like Ranga mama is called by Gods as early as possible saying “Hey your work is done here, you have done enough you are urgently re- quired elsewhere where paapis are increasing” where as PAAP Atma is spared to suffer here longer where he is a headache to god as well to take him and put him again elsewhere. Swa- mi Vivekananda said “Silence of good people is more dam- aging then the actions of bad people” therefore vacuum cre- ated by Ranga mama in SSK Society has to be filled with able and efficient people as the SSK Society is more vulnerable than ever before as the antiso- cial elements monopoly might result in liquidating all the good work done by previous elders who had the tenacity to keep our community together. Now it is our entire community’s prerogative to choose wisely and make Ranga mama and all our elders proud. Venkatesh Kalburgi SSS Team Bangalore. It gives us a feeling like we have entered into our ancestral phase where sculptures narrates us the beautiful story of our culture and tradition and how they lived together sharing common facilities and which helped them to support each other even in amidst of thousands of odds. Illustration of Traditional farming tech- niques right from ploughing the fields to harvesting their yield has been wonder- fully represented through sculptures.
