I am greatly disappointed in what I consider to be scandalous conduct by Mr. Miller, Ms. Bernald, Mr. Cappello, and Mr. Ahuja surrounding the Mountain Winery Annexation Project. I believe that Mr. Miller, Ms. Bernald, Mr. Cappello, and Mr. Ahuja have abused their power, disrespected myself and Planning Commissioners, disrespected the Saratoga community, and failed to take responsibility for their actions. I expected more out of Saratoga leadership and I refuse to serve under leaders devoid of all ethics, dignity, and integrity

RE: Resignation from the Saratoga Planning Commission
Dear City Council Members and Planning Commissioners:
I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning from my position as both Vice Chair
and Commissioner of the Saratoga Planning Commission.
I am grateful for having the opportunity to serve the Saratoga community and for
serving with some remarkable individuals on the Planning Commission. I have truly enjoyed
this experience and looked forward with excitement to each meeting and project.
Regretfully, that is no longer the case.
I am greatly disappointed in what I consider to be scandalous conduct by Mr. Miller,
Ms. Bernald, Mr. Cappello, and Mr. Ahuja surrounding the Mountain Winery Annexation
Project. I believe that Mr. Miller, Ms. Bernald, Mr. Cappello, and Mr. Ahuja have abused
their power, disrespected myself and Planning Commissioners, disrespected the Saratoga
community, and failed to take responsibility for their actions. I expected more out of
Saratoga leadership and I refuse to serve under leaders devoid of all ethics, dignity, and
integrity.
I generally outlined the reasons for my decision to resign during oral communications
on non-agendized items at the May 20, 2020 City Council regular meeting on May 21, 2020
at approximately 2:30 am.
Thank you to those of you who care about Saratoga, to those of you who strive to do
what is right, to those of you who mentored me along this journey, and to those of you who
made a positive impact in my life. You know who you are and I am grateful to all of you.
I wish all of you all the best and a conscientious existence. May your actions shape
the world to be a better place.
