• The plural of nouns is formed by adding «s» to the
original noun:

dog – dogs
bird -birds

• If the noun has one of the following endings, the plural is
formed by adding “es”
-s: focus – focuses
-ss: loss –losses
-sh: dish-dishes
-ch: patch –patches
-x: fox -foxes

• In some cases, if the noun ends with “y”, the plural
ending is: “ies.”
Example: Battery-batteries
If the “y” is before a vowel, you just have to add a “s”
