INCOME TAXATION- CHAPTER 13-A ADDITIONAL CLAIMABLE COMPENSATION EXPENSE
Milton Bradley Look Book - Set Design, Costumes, Art Direction
1. America, 1970'’s - Living Room
Retirees - 55+, retired, enjoys leisure, travel, etc.
“Play it Back” campaign
A modern-day man in his 60s sits in
the living room with his grandson. As
the young boy is distracted, the man
notices a dusty board game on the
shelf. He pulls it out, opens the lid,
and is transported back to 1975.
He relives the good times he had
playing board games with his own
grandparents. He then comes back
to reality and plays the same games
with his grandson, helping him relive
his favorite board game memories.
2. COLOR PALLETTE
This selection of colors is inspired by the prominent yellows,
blues, and reds seen in 70's media and fashion, as well as
complementary greens, browns, and oranges. The 1970s
were a time of cultural change and self-expression. These
colors evoke nostalgia to that era, bringing our target
market back to the days of bell-bottoms and tie-dye.
The primary colors of the pallette exude playfulness and
creativity, a reference to the art, film, and music that
defined the decade. These colors provide youthfulness
and are similar to those found in board games like Twister,
Connect Four, and The Game of Life.
Additionally, the warmer complementary colors provide a
sense of comfort, coziness, and nature, evoking the
feeling that comes when drinking some hot cocoa on
your grandma’s old (and frankly, sort of ugly) floral sofa.
Memories like these are near and dear to our target
market. Overall, these colors connect the nostalgia and
excitement of the 70s to the warmth and leisure that
comes with quality family time.
4. SET
We begin with the old man being
transported back to the living room of his
youth. This is home.
Pendant lights lie still, secured to the slanted
ceilings supported by wooden beams.
The fluffy orange couch appears put
together and pristine with some natural dips
from friends and family who have claimed
their spot on it every time he hosts a game
night.
From the record
player a faint tune
fills the space:
It’s “Take A Chance
on Me” by ABBA.
LOVE AND DEATH (2023)
5. SET
We punch into the central location of his memories. The coffee table lies
at the heart of the living room. It’s a piece of sturdy wood heavily
influenced by colonial design. Small enough to fit a couple of drinks and
board games, but large enough to contain their competitive spirits.
