learn the inner workings of a major event.
The current guest list not only includes

Living and Learning!
H
ave you ever felt like
you were worthless
or that no one cares?
Have you ever felt so
tired that you just wanted to
give up or that you can do
nothing right?
Well, this is a part of living.
The real Challenge is under-
standing that this is a test
that everyone in their life
goes through. The choice is:
are you going to believe the
lie that you are not worth an-
ything or are you going to
stand up and know the truth?
The Truth is you, you are a
wonderful Being and you are
worth more than you can ev-
er understand.
You see you have a purpose
and you can make a differ-
ence in this world if you just
understand that you CAN
make a difference! You just
have to choose to do so! Will
anything be given to you?
NO! You have to learn to
work hard and not be afraid
to make mistakes and keep
moving forward and learning.
Understand that you “do not
lose or fail, you either Win or
Learn!” There is no failure!
Once you understand this
simple way of thinking in life,
the challenges that you face,
be it school, work or just
plain living. You will never
feel weak or worthless again.
You will make choices, learn
and grow and make a differ-
ence in this world that you
have never imagined. You will
be an inspiration to those
around and develop an un-
derstanding about their weak-
nesses and challenges that
they face. You will be able to
lift them up and tell them the
secret that I am telling you
now.
You will learn to be a leader!
SO, the next time you face
this world and it tells you that
you cannot make it and that
you will fail and it knocks you
to the ground. You look it in
the eye and say “You may
knock me down and you may
lie to me but I know the
Truth. I am worth more than
you know and I will keep
reaching for my dreams. You
cannot stop me.” Then you
get back up, brush yourself
off and keep moving forward.
Never be afraid of living and
learning! It is a Challenge
but, you will see, that it is all
worth it!

them is what makes life mean-

5. STUDENT LIFE 05
20th May 2016 saw the first Student Bar
of term 2016B with the theme ‘Balloons
and Bubbles’. The party kicked off at
7.30pm on the cool Friday evening
immediately after dinner and ended at
12am with smiles all around.
The returning and new SRC members
transformed the pool area into a
dancefloor flooded with balloons. Jake
Hindley, Hannah Liu and Tino
Mukarati ran the makeshift bar,
serving beer and a concoction called
‘Tropical Fever’. On the other end,
Sean Dunne livened things up w ith
non-stop music using his out-of-this-
world mixing talent!
Meanwhile, the party was going on
outdoors as well. The SRC provided
bubble blowers with various sizes,
which were well received. Students
relived their childhood with persistent
attempts at blowing different sizes and
streams of bubbles.

6. WINE CLUB06
Mr. Georgiou introduced this term to
friendly returning faces and some
newcomers too. Wine tasting and col-
laborative discussion on the profiles of
the wines tasted were among the most
interesting aspects to the club. “I
learnt a lot in a short period of time
and I really enjoyed how this develops
winery and viticulture understanding
and possible pathways to our future
careers.” - Sean Dunne
The wines that introduced were:
RED WINE:
Chanti Superiore
Chanti Classico
WHITE WINE:
Canti Grape variety: Pinot Grigio
Masi Masianco
“There are no standards of taste in
wine… Each man’s own taste is the
standard, and a majority vote cannot
decide for him or in any slightest
degree affect the supremacy of his
own standard.”
