2. I have been among the top five since
kindergarten but the most precious
moment was when I had the 1st rank in
grade 10 in the entire state.
The subjects were the usual but I was
unwell during the preparatory holidays. I
had expected to just pass the course
though I had devoted my full attention
to studies. The school authorities were
helpful in giving me guidance after I had
improved health conditions.
I had been an attentive listener and that
is what made me achieve the 1st rank as I
listened to what the teacher had to say
during the special preparatory classes.
Although it took some extra amount of
time than my usual curriculum but I
achieved better than what I had
expected. That day I learned the most
important lesson of my life which is –
NEVER GIVE UP.
3. I had always been interested in hockey and
was given a golden chance by my sports
teacher in school to be a part of the national
hockey team.
The challenge was critical and required extra
hard work to preserve the trust bestowed
upon me by the school authorities.
However, the task was interesting as I wanted
to be a part of the national hockey team
myself.
I had been the hockey team captain of my
school and was known for my gaming
techniques. I used to devote time towards
hockey on regular basis in spite of the national
hockey team selection. I by practicing on
regular basis was able to brush up my gaming
skills and achieved success in what I desired.
It required an extra deal of hard work and
dedication but the result at the end was
satisfying. I became a part of the national
hockey team and even got a chance to play
4. During my vacation after grade 10, I was idle
and desperate to do something unusual.
I tried my luck in one of the cellular companies
in India to work my in the sales department. I
filled the form and was called for the interview
where I was selected as a sales representative
at the age of 17.
I had the confidence and was able to impress
the manager who appointed me on a trial
period and later confirmed my job. I used to
regularly meet up with people to convince
them to take the company’s connection. I
targeted the college and school students who
eventually helped me in reaching my goal.
Though the salary I received for doing this job
was not much and I had discontinue with the
job due to my studies I gained a lot of
experience of customer dealing. Today I am
capable enough to convince a customer to
buy the product I want to sell.
5. Graduation is usually a term used in my
country for bachelors in colleges but I
believe that ceremony on passing out 12th
grade in my school was somewhat similar to
a graduation ceremony.
A grand ceremony was organized by the
school committee to acknowledge the
achievements of the students. All were
dressed in formals rather than the
academic dress and were given prizes for
their performance. The prizes were won by
students in every field were distributed on
the same day.
Altogether was a new experience where all
were happy of passing out the 12th grade
and heading out for college life. We knew
that our school life would probably never
return back and friends may part but still
keeping in mind the thought to be in touch
we just went with the flow and enjoyed the
ceremony to the fullest.
The ceremony has left me with beautiful
memories of friends and also keeps
reminding me of the promises I made to my
family, teachers and my .friends,
6. During my grade 12 days, I got a chance
to perform voluntary services in one of
the community events.
I noticed that the organising committee
was running short of workers and needed
promising individuals who can be helpful
in management of the event. I had
always been an active participant in the
school events and had an idea about
these events.
So I volunteered to stand in and help the
organisation to organise the event. I, then
became a part of the management
team and took up the task of managing
the performing teams as it was a
fundraising event for charitable institution.
This event helped me become a better
team manager and also helped me to
gain experience of organising events at
charitable institutions.
