3. (1) NOUN
A Noun is the name of a person place or
thing.
Example : Car, bus , House , Truck ,
Taj Mahal , Red fort.
4. (2) PRONOUN
A pronoun is a wordwhich is usedin place of Noun.
Example : He,she,It,I,We,You They,Them,Those,Her
In Sentence : Geeta is a goodgirl.
She is a goodgirl.
5. (3) ADJECTIVE
Adjective is a word that describes,
modifies, or gives more information
about noun or a pronoun.
Example: cold, young, two, fun.
In sentence :Yesterday, I ate my lunch
quickly.
6. (4) VERB
Verb is a wordthat shows action or a stage of being. It
can show what someone is doing or did.
Examples: go, speaking, lived, been, is.
In sentence: Listen to the wordand then repeat it.
7. (5) ADVERB
Adverb is a word that modifies that
meaning of a verb, an adjective or
another adverb, expressing manner,
place, time, or degree.
Examples: slowly, very slowly, well,
too.
In sentence: yesterday,
8. (6) PREPOSITION
Preposition is a word that shows the
relationship of a noun, phrase, or pronoun to
another word.
Example : at, on, in, from, with, about etc.
In Sentence : I left my keys on the table for
you.
9. (7) CONJUCTION
Refers to a word that joins two words,
ideas, or phrases together and shows
how they are connected.
Example : and, or, but, because, until, if
etc.
In Sentence : I was feeling hot and tired
but I still finished my work.
10. (8) INTERJECTION
Refers to a word or phrase that
expresses a strong emotion. They are
usually followed by an exclamation
sign ‘!’
Example : Ouch! Hey! Wow! Oh! Ugh!
11. TYPES OF NOUN
There are five types of a Noun.
(1) Common Noun
(2) Proper Noun
(3) Collective Noun
(4) Material Noun
(5) Abstract Noun
12. : SENTENCE
A sentence is a group of words
which makes a complete sense.
In sentence : Color blue favourite
is my. (Wrong)
: My Favourite color is blue.
(Right)
13. : KINDS OF SENTENCE
There are four kinds of
sentences.
(1) Assertive Sentence
(2) Imperative Sentence
(3)Interrogative sentence
(4)Exclamatory Sentence
