ANKURAM
IBM BLOCKCHAIN – Our website will run on information. The faster it’s
received and the more accurate it is, the better. Blockchain is ideal for
delivering that information on our platform because it provides
immediate, shared and completely transparent information stored.
This will help make our platform completely secure from unethical
practices that could lead to leakage of sensitive data in turn breaching
privacy of our community users.
IBM CLOUD - IBM cloud computing is a set of cloud computing
services offered by IBM. Our website also utilizes many other
functionalities of IBM CLOUD. This will enable us to build and deploy
our website very effectively.
TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E-
ANKURAM
IBM WATSON CHATBOT - IBM Watson Assistant is a service on
the IBM Cloud that will help us build and deploy virtual
assistants for proper feedback and reviews on volunteers and
modules. Chatbot will help in site navigation to facilitate smooth
user experience. Chatbot will also be used to answer some
frequently asked questions.
WATSON SPEECH TO TEXT API - The IBM Watson Speech to Text service
provides APIs that use IBM's speech-recognition capabilities to produce
transcripts of spoken audio and thus enable us to help differently abled
children especially those having hearing impairment in learning process.
For interactive modules, speech to text feature will be utilized to help in
reading exercises evaluation and to provide captions in video
presentations and classes.
TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E-
ANKURAM
WATSON TEXT TO SPEECH API - IBM Watson Text to Speech is an
API cloud service that will enable us to convert written text into
natural-sounding audio in a variety of languages and voices and
thus help blind children in learning process. This feature will also
enable the users to listen to the learning modules without the need
of looking at the screen the whole time. It will be used to create
interactive lessons for primary children.
WATSON MACHINE LEARNING - IBM Watson Machine Learning is a full-
service IBM Cloud offering that makes it easy for us to integrate predictive
capabilities with their applications into our website and thus making it
easier to find volunteers with specific skill sets and also to gauge the
module learning. Watson ML will be used to calculate average waiting time,
most active learners and volunteers, it will also predict the most active time
of our website. It will also recommend users to learn a particular module
and grow one’s learning path level.
TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E-
ANKURAM
IBM CLOUD DATABASE - IBM offers databases that deliver high
availability, enhanced security and scalable performance. This
includes auto provisioning, hosting, and 24x7 management with
automated high availability, backup and restore, version upgrades,
security and thus helping us manage our website with better ease.
All our data will be stored and will be available for 24x7 in the
working of our website all around the year.
E-ANKURAM
LEARNERS – Everyone on the platform would be engaged in
learning process in one way or the other. They can participate in
community discussions, engage with learning modules, and
learn in one-to-one setting.
VOLUNTEERS - Everyone in the world above 14 years of age can
create their account and participate in the volunteering process.
Volunteers are the main powerhouse of our platform facilitating
the learning-educating process.
EDUCATORS - The highest hallmark of quality is the tag of
Educator. Volunteers can transition to become an educator in the
skill of their choice after passing a skill assessment test.
Education degree holders in any area of study or those pursuing
study in any area could directly apply to become educators.

• COVID pandemic has shut back the entire world. The educational processes were at a
big halt. Students and teachers alike were no more able to interact one-to-one as it
was possible in institutions. Our platform touches upon this very urgent need of the
entire student population- the need for volunteers on a 24x7 basis.
• Everyone in the world above 14 years of age can create their account and participate in
the volunteering process. The initial steps would require you to select three of the
topics in which you are most proficient. Based on participation in the community,
completing a set of training modules, and positive feedback earned from learners,
volunteers would be able to level up and unlock additional perks.
• The platform would allow learners to put up an open request for learning specific
topics or asking questions or doubts on a 24x7 basis. Volunteers and Educators would
be able to see the open requests and either of them could accept the request based on
their topic of expertise.

competitions that will help gauge the outcome of
the modular learning process.

• According to the recent NSSO survey, 2017-18,
in urban areas unemployment among educated
women was twice their male counterparts. The
rate went up to a high of 19.8 per cent in
2017-18 from 10.3 per cent in 2011-12.
• For rural educated women, unemployment
stood at 17.3 per cent in 2017-18 increasing
sharply from 9.7 per cent in 2011-12.
• Our platform would engage educated women in
educational activities of primary children for
training them in basic key skills and also to
enhance the learning outcome through one-to-
one conversations in addition to modular
learning.
A PLATFORM TO ENGAGE WOMEN
23 million girls in India drop out of school in teenage years due to lack of sanitary infrastructure in schools,
especially in rural areas. Our platform, being completely virtual and free will provide a stress-free and safe
environment for girl children to carry on with their educational activities.
Educated unemployed women, especially housewives who are otherwise not allowed to go out of houses to carry
professional activities could use our platform to engage in educating primary children and youths.
Women can engage themselves in creating fun and interactive modules for young children to impart basic key
skills.
Girl children are endowed with option to send personal request to female educators and volunteers if they wish
to.

As a part of outreach events, we would maintain a high influx of volunteers who
have been fortunate to receive a college education or even have graduated.
This will allow us to put our platform into use for higher educational

information and make educated choices for their proposed area of study.
Our volunteers would help them navigate a path to college education and
identify strong prospects for employment and nation-building.
This will help maintain a successful outflux of passionate individuals taking up

of heinous users creating disruption on
platform: sending spam requests, breach
of community guidelines, trying to get
private information from users,
inappropriate behaviour including

complete a feedback form based on which
quality of volunteers and educators will be
ensured.

skills into practice after which they would be awarded the skill badge for a particular awareness module.
Every volunteer profile would display a list of three initial topic badges that they select to learn in the
community.
After volunteers transition to becomes educators, there will be different set of badges to display quality
hallmark gained through skill assessment test.
Regular community participation would also help community members earn different rewards in the form
of rank badge.

Utilizes complete power of passionate individuals who would volunteer to provide educational help to learners and be trained for the same. Designed to provide education in any medium mutually agreed upon: text, audio or video.
  • 5. A platformed empowered by self-sustaining cycle of learners, volunteers and educators providing learning help and educational activities on a 24x7 basis. Provides researched educational modules for basic skill training for the 21st century living and beyond. Empowerment opportunities for women and vulnerable groups.
  • 6. TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E- ANKURAM IBM BLOCKCHAIN – Our website will run on information. The faster it’s received and the more accurate it is, the better. Blockchain is ideal for delivering that information on our platform because it provides immediate, shared and completely transparent information stored. This will help make our platform completely secure from unethical practices that could lead to leakage of sensitive data in turn breaching privacy of our community users. IBM CLOUD - IBM cloud computing is a set of cloud computing services offered by IBM. Our website also utilizes many other functionalities of IBM CLOUD. This will enable us to build and deploy our website very effectively.

TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E- ANKURAM IBM WATSON CHATBOT - IBM Watson Assistant is a service on the IBM Cloud that will help us build and deploy virtual assistants for proper feedback and reviews on volunteers and modules. Chatbot will help in site navigation to facilitate smooth user experience. Chatbot will also be used to answer some frequently asked questions. WATSON SPEECH TO TEXT API - The IBM Watson Speech to Text service provides APIs that use IBM's speech-recognition capabilities to produce transcripts of spoken audio and thus enable us to help differently abled children especially those having hearing impairment in learning process. For interactive modules, speech to text feature will be utilized to help in reading exercises evaluation and to provide captions in video presentations and classes.

TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E- ANKURAM WATSON TEXT TO SPEECH API - IBM Watson Text to Speech is an API cloud service that will enable us to convert written text into natural-sounding audio in a variety of languages and voices and thus help blind children in learning process. This feature will also enable the users to listen to the learning modules without the need of looking at the screen the whole time. It will be used to create interactive lessons for primary children. WATSON MACHINE LEARNING - IBM Watson Machine Learning is a full- service IBM Cloud offering that makes it easy for us to integrate predictive capabilities with their applications into our website and thus making it easier to find volunteers with specific skill sets and also to gauge the module learning. Watson ML will be used to calculate average waiting time, most active learners and volunteers, it will also predict the most active time of our website. It will also recommend users to learn a particular module and grow one’s learning path level.
  • 9. TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED TO CREATE E- ANKURAM IBM CLOUD DATABASE - IBM offers databases that deliver high availability, enhanced security and scalable performance. This includes auto provisioning, hosting, and 24x7 management with automated high availability, backup and restore, version upgrades, security and thus helping us manage our website with better ease. All our data will be stored and will be available for 24x7 in the working of our website all around the year.
  • 10. E-ANKURAM LEARNERS – Everyone on the platform would be engaged in learning process in one way or the other. They can participate in community discussions, engage with learning modules, and learn in one-to-one setting. VOLUNTEERS - Everyone in the world above 14 years of age can create their account and participate in the volunteering process. Volunteers are the main powerhouse of our platform facilitating the learning-educating process. EDUCATORS - The highest hallmark of quality is the tag of Educator. Volunteers can transition to become an educator in the skill of their choice after passing a skill assessment test. Education degree holders in any area of study or those pursuing study in any area could directly apply to become educators.

Students and teachers alike were no more able to interact one-to-one as it was possible in institutions. Our platform touches upon this very urgent need of the entire student population- the need for volunteers on a 24x7 basis. • Everyone in the world above 14 years of age can create their account and participate in the volunteering process. The initial steps would require you to select three of the topics in which you are most proficient. Based on participation in the community, completing a set of training modules, and positive feedback earned from learners, volunteers would be able to level up and unlock additional perks. • The platform would allow learners to put up an open request for learning specific topics or asking questions or doubts on a 24x7 basis. Volunteers and Educators would be able to see the open requests and either of them could accept the request based on their topic of expertise.

FREE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION • Our platform remains promising in achieving free primary education for everyone around the world irrespective of education boards in the country or state. • 101 million or 9% of children in grades 1 to 8 fell below minimum reading proficiency levels in 2020. • 12.6 million primary teachers were needed to be recruited by 2020.

Educated women unemployed will particularly be outreached to participate in engaging with children to ensure utmost care. Live skill classes for every skill module will be conducted on daily basis with a limited slot of 10 in every batch to ensure personal attention and cumulative learning.

INTRODUCTION TO GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP • The second part of the modular teaching style is our Awareness section, where we aim to bring every learner, volunteer, and educator alike to a basic understanding of global skills that have become an urgent need for our society. • Well-researched materials prepared by our educator community would be used to harness global citizenship and human rights values among the community members.

  • 25. A PLATFORM TO ENGAGE WOMEN • According to the recent NSSO survey, 2017-18, in urban areas unemployment among educated women was twice their male counterparts. The rate went up to a high of 19.8 per cent in 2017-18 from 10.3 per cent in 2011-12. • For rural educated women, unemployment stood at 17.3 per cent in 2017-18 increasing sharply from 9.7 per cent in 2011-12. • Our platform would engage educated women in educational activities of primary children for training them in basic key skills and also to enhance the learning outcome through one-to- one conversations in addition to modular learning.
  • 26. A PLATFORM TO ENGAGE WOMEN 23 million girls in India drop out of school in teenage years due to lack of sanitary infrastructure in schools, especially in rural areas. Our platform, being completely virtual and free will provide a stress-free and safe environment for girl children to carry on with their educational activities. Educated unemployed women, especially housewives who are otherwise not allowed to go out of houses to carry professional activities could use our platform to engage in educating primary children and youths. Women can engage themselves in creating fun and interactive modules for young children to impart basic key skills. Girl children are endowed with option to send personal request to female educators and volunteers if they wish to.

EMPOWERING YOUTHS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES: As a part of outreach events, we would maintain a high influx of volunteers who have been fortunate to receive a college education or even have graduated. This will allow us to put our platform into use for higher educational opportunities by empowering people. People can learn more about funding opportunities, college education, degree information and make educated choices for their proposed area of study. Our volunteers would help them navigate a path to college education and identify strong prospects for employment and nation-building. This will help maintain a successful outflux of passionate individuals taking up college education.

Online space is considered as most accessible but equally dangerous especially for children, ethnic minorities, groups vulnerable to discrimination and people with disabilities. 1 Our platform will feature a series of options for ease of navigation, accessibility tools, text to speech for people with limited eyesight, highlighting and colour contrast features for people with color blindness. 2 To raise awareness about inclusiveness and diversity among populations, the core modules will be required by everyone to be completed in stipulated time 3
  • 30. In case of any breach, users will be provided with report buttons where they can submit discrimination reports or loss of privacy for that suitable actions will be guaranteed. Every user will be provided with a treasure of options they can use to select while asking a question. Learners can either choose to engage with a volunteer or educator by sending out personal requests. Girl children could choose to engage with girl/women volunteers or educators by specifying in their open request.

REPORTIN G AND FEEDBACK MECHANIS M • Any community member can flag a profile of heinous users creating disruption on platform: sending spam requests, breach of community guidelines, trying to get private information from users, inappropriate behaviour including harassment and discrimination toward vulnerable groups. • After every one-to-one session and group discussions, learners will be prompted to complete a feedback form based on which quality of volunteers and educators will be ensured.

  • 33. RECOGNITION, MOTIVATION, ENCOURAGEMENT • Volunteers can gain perks based on their activity in the community. They will be able to gain experience points by doing the following: • Upon receiving every positive feedback • Community engagement • Reviewing skill activities in the community based on volunteer levels. • Every time on leveling up, volunteers can add one extra skill they would like to impart to the learner community.
  • 34. RECOGNITION, MOTIVATION, ENCOURAGEMENT Our platform would provide engagement opportunities around the world for students to put their learned skills into practice after which they would be awarded the skill badge for a particular awareness module. Every volunteer profile would display a list of three initial topic badges that they select to learn in the community. After volunteers transition to becomes educators, there will be different set of badges to display quality hallmark gained through skill assessment test. Regular community participation would also help community members earn different rewards in the form of rank badge.

FURTHER POSSIBLE UPGRADATIONS Online library or selected pdfs to enhance learning capability of community members Book donation drive by partnering with local schools to provide ample books to school children. Physical rewards in form of cash or required stationery items including books to high performing candidates on platform. Payment to household women engaged on our platform to empower them.
