3. Is the process of determining or
diagnosing the health status of the
students and detecting the presence of
physical defects or improved health.
This can be done by school doctors or
physicians, nurses, dentist and even
teachers.

5.  VISION TESTING
~ checks many different
functions of the eye. Some of
the tests measure your ability
to see details at near and far
distances, check for gaps or
defects in your field of vision,
and evaluate your ability to see
different colors. Others may
check how sensitive you are to
glare (brightness acuity), how
well your eyes work together to
provide depth perception, and
more.

6.  Hearing testing
~ is part of an ear exam
that tests how well a person is
able to hear. It is done by
measuring how well sound can
reach the brain. Hearing test
help find what kind of hearing
loss you have. The tests
measure how well you can
hear sounds that reach the
inner ear through the ear
canal. They also measure
sounds that are spread
through the skull.

7.  MEASURING OF WEIGHT
~ The weighing scale is
used to determine the weight if
the students. Gaining weight is
a sign of student’s
development. Failure to gain
weight can mean health
problems.

8.  DENTAL EXAMINATION
~ Dental inspection
should be at least once
a year to correct any
dental defects. This is
done by the school
dentist.

9.  PULSE RATE
~ Finding out the pulse
rate helps the students know if
he/she has heart disease
thus, great caution can be
made to avoid cardiac
problems. This is done by
placing your pointing and
middle finger near your wrist
or galanggalangan.

10.  MEDICAL EXAMINATION
~ This is done by
school doctors or physicians.
This assure accurate
information regarding the
health status of the students.

11.  MEASURING OF HEIGHT
~ This should be
carried out at least twice a
year. Height is measured
through the use of meter stick
or height scale place against
the wall. Increasing height
determines growth and
development.
