2. BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING The biomedical engineering or bioengineering is the branch of the engineering that implements the beginning of the technologies to the field of the medicine. He devotes himself fundamentally to the design and construction of medical equipments, prothesis, medical devices, and devices of diagnosis and of therapy
3. FIELDS OF ACTION This discipline fundamentally tied to the application of technologies of electrical and electronic engineering for the construction of biomedical equipments, as well as to the design of prothesis and orthosis.
4. IMPORTANCE The biomedical engineering is a discipline that as the years went by has provided a great quantity of advances to the human being in the field of the medicine. From the construction and improvement of hospitable equipments, up to the implementation of orthopaedic protheses that offer the opportunity to persons who have lost some of the members of his body to be replaced.
5. CHANGES IN THE CURRICULUM The implementation of new matters to the curriculum of the students of biomedical engineering to have more possibilities of choosing in the moment to see the elective ones. Such matters would have an approach towards the engineering rehabilitation and towards the clinical engineering.
6. WHY Thinking of offering a better level of education to the students of biomedical engineering of the ITM the change of the curriculum would be realized implementing new matters that allow to the not alone student to be unrolled in the fields of action of the engineering but in addition implementing new technologies in favor of the persons.
7. FOR WHAT The change of the curriculum would be realized by the aim that the gone away ones from the ITM are competent professionals capable of implementing in the company by means of the clinical engineering and the engineering rehabilitation technological helps and devices that facilitate disabled persons to carry out own activities of his age and of his social group.
