I was able to get a little clarity from Dr Munn. He mentioned that UCLA Rads currently arrive to
work on studies at MLK and then read studies for UCLA from MLK utilizing a dedicated
workstation with UCLA PACS and their EHR on the systems. According to Dr Munn this system
costs UCLA 100K which I suspect is way over priced but I will look at it from that perspective and

Anderson Community Case Study
What do you consider the most important problem facing Anderson Community? The most
important problem facing Anderson is the lack of jobs. Not many people in the city of Anderson
have jobs and are unable to raise and support their families. An issue with that is that most
employers are too picky with what type of worker they're looking for. Jobs in Anderson are also
hard to find, because most positions people try to apply for, are already filled. Now lets not forget
that most people in Anderson that try to find a job, are what we call "slackers" and want the job
to be easy and on their terms. There's also teenagers and high school students who are getting jobs
and that have no experience, instead of young adults and parents who need those jobs to support
their loved ones. The jobs around here are too worried about hiring young individuals that are in
school, because they can move fast, but they also have school and other high school activities to

They at least want people with a high school diploma or even a college degree, one to show that
their employees are educated and also to show their hard workers, but there's an issue. In
Anderson, there's not many citizens that have a education. A lot of individuals don't even have a
high school diploma, not even a general diploma (which is the lowest of all diplomas to graduate
high school). The reason for this is, because most students when in high school would decide to
drop out without thinking about other ways to continue their schooling. There's also people who
had family issues so they couldn't stay in school any longer then they wanted to. Therefore, with
all these people not finishing school without at least a high school diploma, they won't be able to
get decent jobs and the jobs they will basically be forced to get will be low income based

While reading Sam Anderson's "In Defense of Distraction", I sensed that the he was trying to make
aware to his reader's that as we continue to move forward as a technologically advanced society, our
generation's attention span diminishes gradually. Taking into consideration the "Suspend Judgment"
analytical move I managed not to jump to conclusions and really grasp the idea that he was trying to
put out. At first, he did make a really good first impression at the beginning of the essay. Anderson
wrote his introduction as if he was having a one on one conversation with his reader's. He asked

Recently I read 'Feed', by M.T Anderson, a dystopian novel about how advancement in technology is
negatively affecting our society and the way we communicate with each other. The author led me to
believe that these advancements, such as texting, are causing our language to deteriorate. Further
research proves that texting may be improving and many are learning to accept. When the era of the
written word dies, will we be left with an illiterate generation with poor grammar? Students are

We carry our cellphones with us at all times, and with all this online connection, you would think
that stepping back and disconnecting is a huge achievement. But this is a new way of life. Nathan
Jurgenson, in his article "The IRL Fetish" says, "We have come to understand more and more of

Personal Narrative: My Problem With Anderson
One problem with Anderson? One? I could give 100s but i'll stick to the assignment. Not only do i
believe Anderson could use a lot of improving I also believe Anderson could use a lot of help
improving. Me personally haven't lived in Anderson very long but I still see some problems. I just

father pass away before my eye may have been the hardest thing ever to face as 16 year old. The
experience of losing my father as well as many of my friends to prison, drug trafficking, gangs, and
neighborhood violence motivated me to aim for a better future. College, I realized (and still do),
became my outlet for achieving my dreams. I believe that, if peers in the urban areas of San
Francisco been given the right guidance, support, and resources they would have graduated and

UCLA colleges are currently public institutions, partially funded by the state of California. The
UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, the business school part of the UCLA system,
wants to become more like a private institution. This would mean that the business school would no
longer receive funds from the state, and can be under less regulation. By receiving greater
autonomy, the business school can more easily and more quickly raise its tuition. In addition, the
