English Class Reflective Essay
Since beginning to write papers in English class, I have had countless successes and failures.
While many of my English classes have taught me how to improve my writing, I have not learned
very much in others. My most recent English class was last year, my sophomore year. My class
was particularly undersized; therefore, it gave each student the opportunity to have additional
individual attention. Throughout the class I experienced high points, weaknesses, and even
difficulties that I never overcame. Overall, my writing skills improved, but only marginally. One
of the high points of the class was consistently making high A's. We wrote a variety of different
types of papers, and my grade was always respectable. Succeeding in this class made me feel
adequately prepared to write proper papers. Although I made impressive grades for the class, I
was able to do so with only minimal effort. Therefore, I knew I could execute my papers better.
The quality of my writing seemed to stay stagnant over the course of the year. This class would
have been exponentially more beneficial had it challenged me to improve my writing, however it
never did. Although I was not overly challenged in my last English class, I have several weaknesses
as a writer. My biggest weakness is neglecting to ask important questions that could improve my
writing. Receiving...show more content...
One of the most problematic difficulties I faced and am still facing is self–revision. When writing a
paper, it is extremely important to revise your essay multiple times before submitting the final
version. Every revision helps to build a more polished essay. I feel that my paper fails to progress
enough from the rough draft to the final. To fix this, I need to give myself longer breaks between
revising. Becoming skilled at revising my own papers will allow me to develop into a more
competent, successful

Reflective Essay
Reflective Essay
This essay aims to critically review my strengths and weaknesses as a self–regulated learner, in
relation to key skills which demonstrate my ability to use reflective practice. Also, the essay will
identify and implement the learning skills required to complete the modules in Year 2 of the
programme. It will produce and make use of individual learning plans that reflect how I could
improve upon my interpersonal skills and implement a personal development plan. Furthermore, a
demonstration of application of key skills together with learning and interpersonal skills in a variety
of settings will be made. The framework this reflective essay will follow has been adapted from the
work of Borton (1970) Reach, Teach and Touch;...show more content...
The three chosen goals for year 2 of my nursing programme were specific, measurable, attainable,
realistic and timely (S.M.A.R.T).
Goal one, was set out to help me become competent in critically appraising evidence and literature,
which supports the learning skills of being able to produce academic work at level 5 standards.
This goal required gaining understanding and knowledge of critical appraisal, as well as thoroughly
comprehending the elements of critical appraisal and correctly identifying and using tool,
frameworks and guidelines to critically appraise evidence and literature. The significance of
achieving this goal was to help me complete year 2 modules of understanding evidence–based
nursing and examining health and social care needs of vulnerable adults and achieving an overall
good grade in both modules.
What I generally thought was, for the understanding evidence based nursing essay I did not
perform well with my critical appraisal, as most of my time was spent on formulating a PICO
question and did not have sufficient time to write a powerful essay. However results showed that I
gained an overall 55% mark, and comments that were given by the moderator were as follows

Reflective Practice
Reflective practice is an important and personal attribute needed by teachers in order for them to
improve their teaching practice and develop. Furthermore, authors have considered what reflective
practice means for a teacher, Robins et al (2003) suggests that reflective practice is a useful tool for
teachers to learn about their own values and attributes. It also provides them with greater knowledge
of the diverse needs in their classroom. This tool is suitable to use when planning lessons, as
reflections should show what works for different children and how you could possibly adapt your
strategies so that every child is supported in the best way possible.

This meant that I had to reflect persistently on my practice within placements. I felt it
exceptionally valuable, as I was able to keep track of my progress and understand what was going
well and not so well. I was able to discuss my reflections with my tutors and placement supervisors,
who would inspire and support me to evaluate these and make action plans to progress my
development. I feel that, although I was doing these often, they were not in much depth. I could have
considered additional reflections about children's response, organization and meeting the needs of all
children. If I had written these reflections more deeply then it could have been simpler to evaluate
and justify the next steps I need to

Reflective Essay On Science
The lesson that I'm going to focus on is really has to do with science for my first grade students. My
focus will be to help them gain and comprehend the knowledge that's needed to while we observe the
difference between the sun and the moon, the students will be exploring the difference in each of the
objects, determining which one is heavy or light. They will have a questionnaire sheet to write down
any questions that they may have. Giving the students the hands–on experiences is allowing them to
understand even though their opposites, how their still used for comparison. In addition, the students
will have to work as a team organizing the objects, labeling any events that they find and learn their
vocabulary words. This lesson plan has a mixture of a few subjects for them, like Reading, Language
Arts, Writing, and Science. This content includes the student's having to ask and answer questions
about details in a text, having to research, prompt and support their answers, remember important
details with help from their group, respond to questions from their peers, be able to write a complete
report, and get information or clarity on the details that they didn't comprehend. This lesson is
exciting and fun, the students are learning specific details about the sun and moon, how much their
related, but very different in many ways, their learning how to blend their vocabulary together to
help them read and comprehend better and demonstrate their interest in writing to

Reflective Essay On Ethics
Ethical and unethical situations occur on a daily basis and are seen all around us. Being ethical
requires one to take responsibility for their actions and doing what is right in any given circumstance.
Every person has the power to dictate their actions on how they are going to handle any situation
they are put in. I have experienced numerous amounts of situations that have tested my ethical
behavior and actions. Throughout my experiences, I have realized that ethics has a great impact on
many different aspects of life such as society, career, and personal life. Understanding the meaning
of ethics allows me to grow as a person and to truly do what is right with any issue I am faced with.
Personal:
Every action and decision one makes is derived from ethics. In my opinion, ethics is about doing
the right thing no matter the situation. Ethics has a lot to do with one's personal values and it is
important due to the fact that it influences the way a person governs their life. I believe being
ethical has a lot to do with the way one was brought up and the values that were instilled into them
from a young age. My ethical views originated from my upbringing and the lessons my parents
taught me. My parents are big believers of always doing the right thing and that mindset got passed
onto me. My ethical values shape who I am as a person and impacts the way I go about life. Ethics
is extremely important to me because I want to be the best version of myself and with that entails
