Why I Deserve A Grade
Why do I deserve an A as a grade? I deserve an A as a grade for this class for many reasons. I think
I deserve this grade because for one it's a good grade period and teachers tell me they appreciate
me doing their work they give me. Then I try to get all my assignments in, and most of the time I try
my hardest, that's what makes what my grades are now, and lastly I try to pay attention even when
something isn't interesting because I want to show my younger brother that life is hard but it doesn't
hurt to try in school and to not give up. First I think I deserve this type of grade because it's a good
grade. Everyone knows that. Teachers tell me all the time that they are glad I pay attention. They
also say its good to just do the work and

Class Reflective Essay
Writing is a very important part of everyday life whether it be at your job or taking college
courses. Haven taken this class, I have learned where my writing is "slacking." I have definitely
learned what I should work on the improve my writing to help. Small grammatical errors are
definitely one thing I struggle with and learned to improve. Research papers have always been a
challenge for me. I have never done well with them but this class has helped so much with better
understanding how they're done. I also learned some new things that I have never heard of before in
the writing world. I have taken so much from this class that I can use to greater my writing in future
situations. Studying Law is definitely a major that will require further...show more content...
Like in week 6 discussion, when it talked about rhetorical appeals. Lagos, ethos, and pathos are
three terms I have never heard before. Now, I can tell you what they are and which one a person
is using when it comes to an argument. In the world of Law, arguments are the basic
fundamentals of winning cases. You're trying to make a really good argument. So, knowing those
rhetorical appeals can be very beneficial in my future in Law. I also learned how to research and
how to find the most reliable sources. When it comes to finding papers, like research papers, that
knowledge is beyond helpful to know. Using your sources in the best most beneficial way, is very

My Favorite Class
Ever since I could remember, my favorite class as fluctuated from year to year until I reached
high school. In elementary school, I dreaded science class because coming up with a topic for the
science project was frustrating. When I was younger, I enjoyed language arts class primarily for
the grammar lessons and discussion lectures on books, but in high school, keeping up with the
readings were overwhelming. For instance, one time it took me one hour to read five pages of
Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, which proved that my speed for reading comprehension was
incredibly slow. Besides that, I have always hated writing assignments due to the limited time, hand

I felt like I had no right to feel this way, because many kids beg to have the opportunities I am
having. That's when English 1101 became an outlet to help me express and cope with these new
challenges of life.
Registering for an English 1101 class, I would never have thought my writing was remotely
exceptional. On the first day of class, we had to write these diagnostic essay (I wrote about picking
my major) to see where we were at in our writings. The day I received the essay back was the
moment where I truly considered the being a writer. Besides my grammar and spelling errors my
teacher, Mrs. Emma Perry, wrote "very powerful and emotionally descriptive writing– are you sure
you don't want to be an English Major?!" I have never really considered it before but I've always
had a guilty pleasure for becoming a blogger, news anchor (my inspiration came from Nancy Grace
and Robin Meade), and even one day writing my own memoir. I could remember when I was
younger being so shy to speak up that in my mind I would imagine acting out interviews and
seminars. It wasn't until that moment where I truly considered becoming an English major. From
henceforth, I began reading the Red and Black newspaper, writing with great passion in every essay
and improving my communications methods. Realizing this new passion for writing and being in

Why I Chose A Class Essay
As a Salem Freshman, I was required to take a "Signature" Salem class; a class that was
"signature" to Salem and Salem alone. These classes were chosen based on a survey given to
students before they get their schedules and all of them are rather "worldly". At the time, I was
unaware that the this "Sign" Classes were fully graded and fleshed out classes. I simply chose a
class that sounded incredibly interesting without thinking about how well I would actually perform
in that field. I chose a class that offered to challenge the way I think about others and how they
think; a class that could help me understand people more by showing me how they come to believe
things. Despite my initial confusion and eventual grade, I admit that I don't regret taking the class
because what I learned in that classroom was something I don't believe I would have ever
experienced otherwise.
My Sign class was about belief, but it was a very scientific class, which was something I hadn't
expected. In truth, I was vastly unprepared to take the class because I had no experience in
Psychology or writing extensive essays using only deeply researched data as my only sources. My
first essay was the one essay that completely ruined any chance of me getting anything higher than a
C as this class was essay–intensive and all student were graded mainly off of their six semester
essays. As I was inexperienced in using raw data as sources, I failed to correctly paraphrase my data
quotes, which effectively gave

Essay on Virtual Classrooms
Virtual Classrooms
"It's student driven. They set the pace. It's like a high school class except it's computerized . . .
lecture, quizzes, mid–terms and tests are all on the computer" (Charmoli). In this quote, Lance
Jewett it describing some of the benefits of a virtual classroom. He is a teacher for an alternative
school of online classrooms in Manton, Michigan. Many people have differing opinions of Virtual
Classrooms, but as Jewett points out, virtual classrooms are "student driven" meaning the student
has almost complete control over the pace and atmosphere he or she wishes to learn. With this, it is
necessary to look more in depth at virtual classrooms for one to gain a better understanding such as;

Many times class rosters are accessible on the online classrooms platform. This allows students to
access to their fellow classmates as well as a way to contact each other. This also provides contact
information for the instructor of the course. Another feature is access to announcements provided
by the instructor. This gives the instructor a quick and easy way to let students know of any
changes or important events. There is also a section for course information, course documents,
and assignments which will provide the students with any important details of the class or
assignments that may be required. Probably one of the most important features of an online
classroom is its form of communication. Most platforms will use a whiteboard or discussion
board in order to hold class discussions and provide a form of input from both students and
teachers. Tools for the students use are also very important. Digital drop boxes make it possible for
students to forward assignments to the instructor without the use of email and attachments.
Calendars allow students to record important dates and keep track of what is planned for each
online lesson. A student information section is also readily available to provide a profile on
students as a way of recording personal information. Some platforms will also provide small
amounts of web space to host a homepage for students and
