Dear Mr Hawkins,
I am writing to you to apply for the role as a partof the costumeteam for
Beauty and the Beast. I believe I will be a useful as a part of the team as took
GCSE textiles and am currently doing the A level textiles coursetherefore I am
experience in the area of dealing with fabric and costumes. I also will be able
to fix issues if any costumebreaks or rips becauseof my knowledgewithin the
area fromthe subject. I amalso hoping to pursuecostumeas a career after
sixth formtherefore I am passionate about the role and believe I will bring
creativity and skill to the team. Whilst the show is happening I will be efficient
in helping with quick costume changes and organising the costumes.
However if I am unable to be a part of the costumeteam I would also put my
full effort and determination into scenic design, I would like to do this role as
like mentioned before I havetaken an art based GCSEand a current A level,
showing I amcreative and imaginative when it comes to painting the set and
other jobs involved with scenic design. I am able to communicate and so will
work well as a part of the team and with the set designers to bring the set to
life. Whilstthe show is going on I will be able to help with the set changes as
doing the set design I will know the set extremely well and understand which
part of the set needs to be on stage and when.
