3. INTRODUCTION
The project mainly focuses on transmission of textual data
through air interface by the use of GSM through serial
communication.
The data will be displayed on LCD only after entering unique
pass key before and after the message.
It is possible to receive or decode the SMS globally by using
GSM MODEM from any part of the world.
So, we can control and display data on LCD board from a large
distance.
Software used: Arduino
4. WHY DO WE NEED THIS?
In offices, colleges and schools when the communication is to
be send to mass population and we don’t have time or we
forgot to convey the message it is the best way to capture
their attention and convey the required information.
This reduces the time and human effort
5. WORKING 1
When we send the message from the mobile, GSM modem which
is arranged at the display unit receives the message. Now the
controller reads the message from the GSM modem and displays in
on LCD.
When user sends the message from the mobile, GSM modem
sends the command serially to indicate that new message is
received.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
The above circuit consists of Arduino UNO controller board, GSM module and
16*2 LCD. LCD is connected and it is used to display message. GSM module is
connected to controller using jumpers where Rx of GSM is connected to T x of
Arduino and TX of GSM is connected to Rx of Arduino.
Here LCD is used in 4 bit mode. Means only 4 data lines are required to display
the data. These data lines are connected to 8, 9, 10 and 11 and control pins RS,
RW, EN pins are connected to 2, GND and 4 respectively.

Write the program for the wireless electronic notice board in c language.
Now burn the program to the microcontroller using Arduino Droid
Give the connections as per the circuit diagram.
Use power supply circuit to provide 5V DC to the microcontroller
Insert the SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) to the GSM module.
Now switch on the supply
Send SMS to the GSM module using other mobile
Now you can see the same message on LCD

10. LIMITATIONS AND CONCLUSION
Display unit must have the network to receive the message wirelessly
Need power supply
As there is no password any one can send the message to display.
LIMITATIONS
GSM systems is the collaboration of software & hardware through which most of
the complicity reduces, even systems size & coast also reduced. Such human
creation put us spell bound that why a topic of invention is taken Robotics design.
The GSM based digital notice board system that we have created has been in
practical use in various companies like in construction companies and research
areas, railways, college.
CONCLUSION
