2. Abstract
• The development of simple and low cost Android based wireless notice
board is presented.
• The proposed system uses GSM based wireless serial data communication.
• For this Android based application programs for GSM communication
between Android based personal digital assistant devices and remote
wireless display board are used.
• At receiver end, a low cost microcontroller board (Arduino Uno) is
programmed to receive and display messages in any of the above
communication mode.
• Web and SMS interface of system gives access to both IP based as well as
cellular based network devices to provide input to the system.
• GSM for data transmission and a screen as a display.
3. Existing System
• The project overcomes this problem by introducing an
electronic display notice board interfaced to an android device
through Bluetooth connectivity.
• The Bluetooth receives the message from the android device
that is sent to a microcontroller of 8051 family.
• The microcontroller displays the message on a LCD screen.
This project can be used in colleges, offices, railway stations
or airports for displaying any information.
4. Proposed System
• Core IoT Device (Arduino & Ethernet
Shield/wifi Shield)
• Cloud database for Storing message in case of
Remote application
• Web Interface for message entry
• SMS interface with help of SMS gateway with
inbound SMS routing service for message
entry
• Message is shown in display device
8. ARDUINO
• Arduinois an open-source platform used for building
electronics projects.
• Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit
board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece
of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer
code to the physical board.
9. POWER SUPPLY
• An AC to DC power supply converts an
alternating current (AC) source to a direct
current (DC) supply.
• The most basic AC to DC power supply
consists of a transformer, rectifier diodes and
a capacitor.
10. GSM
• The GSM Modem supports popular "AT"
command set so that users can develop
applications quickly.
• The product has SIM Card holder to which
activated SIM card is inserted for normal use.
• The power to this unit can be given from UPS
to provide uninterrupted operation.
11. Internet of things(IOT)
• IoT is short for Internet of Things.
• The Internet of Things refers to the ever-
growing network of physical objects that
feature an IP address for internet connectivity.
• The communication that occurs between these
objects and other Internet-enabled devices and
systems.
• M2M refers to connecting a device
to the cloud, managing it and collecting data.

in International Jour. Of Elect, Electronics and Comp Systems,
vol. 4 , pp 43-46, Feb. 2016.
Aim
•Nowadays conveying messages at large using notice boards
are widely used ones ranging from schools to organizations
Methodology
•To design a wireless electronic notice board using GSM
technology. This notice board displays the information on
LCD display whatever you sent from the mobile.
Disadvantage
•Communication fault occur.
•Low security

R. Sundar, S. Hebbar, and V. Golla, in IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL, vol.
15, pp 1109-1113, Feb. 2015.
Aim
•Wireless notice board is very selective term for this project, as it has a
very wide scope rather than just being a simple notice board.
Methodology
•display a message or notice to some display device like LCD, and this
message can be easily set or changed from anywhere in the world, just
by using the SMS facility of your mobile handset.
•Disadvantages
•The disturbance can cause traffic problems.

Programmable Number Features
W. Kang, G. Xiong, Y. Lv, X. Dong, F. Zhu, Q. Kong, pp 157-161,
2014.
Aim
•Notice Board is primary thing in any institution / organization or
public utility places like bus stations, railway stations and parks. But
sticking various notices day-to-day is a difficult process.
•Methodology
•While the user sends the message from the mobile, it is received and
retrieved by the GSM modem at the display unit. The desired number
is auto saved on the microcontroller over a missed call. It is then sent
to the microcontroller that further displays the notice sent from the
user on to the electronic notice board which is equipped with a 16X2
LCD display.
Disadvantages
•Energy efficient protocols congestion can be reduced.

Joshua, S. Rao, N. Rao. in International Jour of Engg. and
Computing, ISSN-2321 -3361, pp 10131018, Dec. 2014
Aim
GSM network is widely used today whether it is for
calling or SMS. Also some of the places needs urgent notices
like in college,
Methodology
This project is about writing the message which is to be
displayed in mobile and send it as SMS to other side. This
received message is fetched into Microcontroller and after
authentication it is displayed on LCD screen.
Disadvantage
•Low signal strength.
19. 5) Wireless Electronic Notice Board using GSM
T. Mickus, P. Mitchell, T. Clarke, in Engg. Applications of
Artificial Intelligence, vol. 62, pp. 17-25, 2017.
Aim
•The importance of notice boards in public places like railway
stations, bus stations and airports
•Methodology
•The Wireless Electronic Notice Board using GSM project, as
the name suggests, is built around GSM Technology as mobile
phones (that communicate through GSM Technology) have
become very abundant, cheap and easy to use.
•Disadvantage
•Adding nodes should not trigger wholesale network
reconfiguration
20. CONCLUSION
• By Using the concept of this technology in the
field of wireless communication we can make our
communication more efficient and faster, with
greater efficiency we can display the messages
and with less errors and better efficiency.
• Time can be consumed & to paper wastage is
reduced cost is low and very easily to handling
method. It is fully involved in using of papers in
displaying of notices is avoided and the
information can be updated by the every second
21. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
“Wireless E-notice board using Raspberry pi”. In this
proposed system the android app is developed and
user can send the message through it from
anyplace. Notice board is connected with Wi-Fi. The
received message can be viewed in large screen
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). Additionally RTC is
introduced for automatic ONOFF and the notice
board displays the message with user name and
Mail id. Conveying the pictures and videos
will be more fruitful.
