1. Privacy
Privacy defines as the state or condition
of being free from being observed or
disturbed by other people.
2. No one likes to get his or her privacy to go on
wrong hand. Infect as far as my privacy
concern I do not want anybody to read expect
the doctors, and nurses. When comes to
privacy it should be kept privately. According
to Foxnews.com, stated that celebrity’s
medical record was exposed on public. I know
I do not want to be a victim like celebrities.
3. As a manager the main concern about patient
confidentially should be strictly enforced to the
staff on a meeting.
Patients information should not be shared other
than the patient or designated person whom
patient chooses as their advocate, translator or
family member. It should be cleared on discussing
any matter over the phone prohibited other than
patient.
Their documents should be sitting on staff desk it
should be placed on patient chart. The HIPPA rules
and regulation should not be violated.
4. To avoid getting from making mistake here are few
examples: some offices has HER system, it could be
scanned on patient chart and later needs to be shred.
Unless otherwise it is a prescription hard copy, this copy
gets scanned and goes to patient chart as well.
By all means nothing should be laying on the desk that
could be visualized by others.
This are extremely important rules and all staffs must
follow otherwise have to face consequences.
Emphasize to the staff about the doctor and their
patient relationship trust.
5. There is a significant amount of trust is measured by the
patients.
Patients trust their doctors to be very protective of
their privacy that’s why they are here continuously
getting treatment otherwise they would be somewhere
else.
We do not want to our healthcare reputation to go
down. That’s why it is very important that everyone
understands and makes them signed and gives them
brochure about the privacy.
