headlines in electronic &Print media.
There is a thorough investigation and
tragedy often yields important lesions
for aviation industry. Pilots and airlines
thus learns how to do their their jobs
more safely.

4. The medical world is far deadlier. Medical mistakes kill
enough people each week to fill many jumbo jets ,
but these mistakes go largely unnoticed by the
world at large and medical community rarely learns
from them.
The same preventable mistakes are made over & over
again and patients left in dark about which
hospitals have significantly better ( or worse) safety
records than their peers.
As a doctor ,we swear to do no harm, but on the job
we soon absorb another unspoken rule to over look
the mistakes of our colleagues.

5. The problem is Vast .Roughly a quarter of all
hospitalized patients will be harmed by
medical errors of some kind.
If medical errors were a disease they would be
sixth leading cause of death. Medical errors
costs tens of billions a year in many
countries.
More than 20-30% of all medications ,tests
and procedures are unnecessary.

6. Error did not kill him,
the bacteria did.
Sepsis is not a preventable illness.
The World is septic and we live in a world.
A new generation of doctors and patients are trying
to achieve greater transparency in the health care
system and new technology makes it more
achievable than ever before.

7. DR HODAD
“ Hands of death and destruction”
Every one encounter the distrubing close door culture of
medicl community.
“ Hide every thing, seems genetic problem”. I hadn’t
heard of a physician or a surgeon by that name ,finally I
enquired and it turned out was nickname of a physician
or surgeon ,which stands for “ Hands of death and
destruction”.
Dr Hodad popularly was no aberation ,many hospitals have
DR Hodad,& some time more than one.

8. This is a man who simply should not have been
allowed to touch patients. excessive surgery
time & extended hospitalization .They just
chalked up their misfortune to fate. Stunned ,I
soon saw just how scarry the works of his
hands were, his operating skills were hasty
and slipshod and patients frequently suffered.

9. Who is attending physician or surgeon? The attending is the
chief of the department ,executive director & medical
director, all orders go through them, calling it “ politics”.
In bussiness where reputation is every thing ,doctors who call
out other doctors are usually targeted.
I have seen whistle blowing doctors suddenly
assingned to do more emergency call ,given fewer resources
or simply badmouthed and discredited in retaliation.
A dreaded scenario if I ever wanted a job, so as a rookie I kept
my mouth shut.

10. “Why is it so hard for doctors to apologize”
Patients and their families are rarely told when hospitals make
mistakes, most mistakes occur in Emergency room
( i-e chest pains are sent home as non cardiac and
they come back with acute MI or brought dead),
ICU,CCU, operating rooms and cath labs.
Around 4% errors ended up harming, why no one
had diagnose his condition sooner.

11. “How to stop hospital from killing us”
Iam writing with the suggestion for action on your part which I believe
will vastly improve health care outcomes and reduce medical costs
across the nation.
Medical providers are often referred as second victims of medical
mistake.
A law ,that among other things usually allows doctors to speak
more openly to patients and families who were harmed, and
even apologized to them indeed.
Fixing system built on blame and revenge will require bold
ways of analyzing mistakes and radical embrace of openions.
