2. INTRODUCTION
 This is Mandatory Education for HIPPA and Rules to access to
Medical Records.
 This material will keep you employed & out of jail.
 My Name is Eric Tiesi, I have been a Physician Assistant for over 17
and had direct access to patient care to include many famous
actors .
 This will be an overview of Common Sense, Forgotten Behaviors &
Social Norms that were taught in Kindergarten, and finally if the
tables were turned and your medical information was leaked to the
public, How would that make you feel?

3. HIPPA:
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act, a law enacted in 2003 to provide rules and
regulations to protect patients' medical records
and other health information provided to health
plans, doctors, hospitals and other health care
providers (HIPAA-Web-Site, 2016).
What Criminals do with this information:
1. Identity Theft (Takes SSN#, DOB, Address and now they
have enough information to become YOU)
2. They can open accounts and destroy your credit
3. They can blackmail threaten to release true information on
personal health issues if not paid.

4.  Treat Patients as you would want to be treated.
 Mind Your only Business and focus on present tasks
 Be mindful of patient’s possessions and not just their
tangible items. Example: Privacy, Dignity, Respect, personal
information, even the acknowledgement to others that they
are in the hospital.
 Your actions can be devastation, although it may seem
harmless to you.
