3. Analysing Magazine Front Covers
This Magazine’s main image is
of an artist called “Paramore’.
In this image she is a young
women wearing a yellow
sleeveless top. The focus of the
image is a mid shot, this tells us
she’s the main story of the
magazine. Her head is tilted to
one side and her arm is leaning
over her head. The artist is
directly looking at the camera
which could tell us she’s trying
to communicate a message.
The artist is positioned more to
the right of the magazine and
the text is surrounding her in a
fashionable way.

5. Analysing Magazine Front Covers
The title of this magazine is called
‘Billboard’. Every Billboard magazine
has it’s title at the top of the page.
Billboard always have 4 different types
of colors in their title, red, orange,
blue and green. Using colour on a title
will make the magazine stand out
from the rest. A famous idol is always
covering part of the tile, this could
suggest that the idol is more
important than the magazine
company. There is a variety of
different font styles and sizes
depending on the cover line. For
example Lady GaGa is in bold black
capitals suggesting she is the biggest
story in the magazine.

7. Analysing Magazine Front Covers
The cover line titles of this magazine
are all about people who are famous
in the music industry. There are
articles down the sides of the
magazine, left and right. The articles
never cover up the main image, the
articles are always organized and
spread out evenly. The font size and
style depends on the article, as in, if
the article is on the person who is in
the main image their article font
would be big, bold and be possibly in
an outstanding colour so you would
easily see it, if you were standing from
a distance.

12. Analysing Contents Page
The layout of this magazine is layout
with one main image on the far right,
a small sub image on the left third
and the writing is presented in a
column. The writing on the contents
page is presented so it surrounds the
main image. I would say this
contents page is quite bland as there
is only on eye catching colour, pink,
and its only used in the title and to
number the different pages. The
main image is in black and white so
therefore doesn't’t grab much
attention.
Layout
15. Masthead- The masthead is the biggest most boldest typography
this is because it is the name of the artist the interview was about
‘Nicki Minaj’. The pink also portrays the image of Nicki Minaj as she
always has pink album covers and pink makeup or accessories, for
example her lipstick in this picture is pink which ties in with the font
colour and background colour.
17. Images- In this article there are two images, one small image in
the center of the left page and the other image on the right hand
side taking up a full page. This is showing the reader the
importance of the article.
