The first one is due to blind spots and lack of visibility caused by heavy traffic and high sided vehicles, in
addition to parked cars etc. The second area of concern is, collisions which can apply at or near intersections
or junctions (T–junctions statistically are the most common but also roundabouts, which were not far behind
statistically).
Throughout the research undertaken for this report, it is evident that there are many accidents which happen
(be it a minor injury or a fatality) within urban areas on the roadside, including motorists. Results could show
that motorists do not pay enough attention to their surroundings and only look for other motorists or it could

allowing motorists to see them or it could be a mixture of the two.

Mayan Families is one of many organizations that reside in the town. After founders, Sharon Smart–Poage,
Dwight Paoge and Patti Morte were in the rural areas of Guatemala, they observed that it needed great aid for
families living in poverty. Thus creating Mayan Families, a non–profit organization that strives to help the
Mayan community. The Shelter Program, one of many programs, strives to provide safe and suitable housing
for low income families. Due to the lack of resources to maintain land, families are forced to spend most of

Women were encouraged to join the war effort in any way, especially as compassionate nurses, but if they
were to oppose the war or prevent their son, brother, or husband from joining, they were considered

Reference Group Functions and Types of Influence Exerted
It is possible to further classify reference groups into four types, depending on the function they perform and
the kind of influence they exert reference groups operate by establishing certain norms, roles and status
within the group for members to follow. As explained earlier, norms are unwritten codes or, standards of
conduct that are assigned to individuals within the group. In addition, specific roles have been identified in
group purchasing behavior in the attempt to select the best among alternative brands or makes of a product.
These are described as those of the influencer, the gatekeeper (i.e. the individual who has the maximum
control over the flow of information), the decision maker, the purchaser and, the final user. Status positions
have also been designated within a group. High status of members within a group implies greater power and
influence. Products are sometimes purchased to demonstrate status, for example an elegant dress or, an
