I have hands-on experience in installation cum commissioning of a large number of solar PV
systems at areas ranging from high altitude (Leh, Ladakh) to desert areas (like Rajasthan).
My cumulative experience of working shall be of effective use during the project planning
activities. These include challenges of site surveys and marking up of physical locations, project
planning, procurements, civil and erection work, commissioning to an effective demonstration of
the desirable levels of illumination from the LED based solar PV driven street lighting systems
on single carriage ways besides interaction with various stakeholders on a variety of issues
relevant to the system installations.
I have worked extensively on a wide range of off-grid & on grid Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems
like lighting, water pumping, telecommunication and battery charging (multiple applications) for
more than 20 years now. I have been actively involved in system installation and commissioning
of these systems across the diverse geographical regions of India. I have so far also worked on
detailed design and engineering activities related to a few 5-10-MW grid connected power
plants.
I have on-site familiarity with the operation cum maintenance and troubleshooting measures of
solar street lighting systems, home lighting systems, decentralized Power plants and water
pumping systems etc. I also have experience about field monitoring cum evaluation aspects of
solar PV systems from a variety of end-use considerations. I am well versed in project
coordination and implementation issues and in dealing with a wide spectrum of stakeholders
I have also gained working experience on solar thermal systems, biogas plants and biomass
gasifier systems for specific end-use applications like water heating, lighting and power
generation etc. I have been closely following up on the fast emerging developments on the PV-
Grid interactive front more so since the inception of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission
(JNNSM).
