Purpose of Gaming
• “To examine the current movement
toward using games and game
design to enhance teaching and
learning.”

Also gives students the chance to move into the material
and get a great sense of being in a virtual or somewhat
realistic situation

• Incorporating gaming into daily activities and
lessons gives the students a chance to engage
and use a form of experiential learning
• Way to involve technology into the daily
lessons and staying up to date with the latest
systems
• Enhances everyday learning and makes
learning fun for the students

• Interactive Learning Environment
• Introducing students to the different
perspectives of the many parts of a gaming
system.
Negatives or Downfalls of Gaming
• Technical glitches
• System problems
• Levels not being able to be differentiated
among the classes or students with learning
disabilities

• There are very many resources to use with all
levels of classrooms and grades.

– Second Life
– Simulation Environments
Conclusion
• I think that incorporating more gaming
systems and new technology will be very
beneficial and make learning fun!
• This is the best way to teach students and give
them independence as well
• A fun way to learn and explore but at the
same time engaging in the lessons needing to
be learned or covered
