To whom it may concern,
This letter is in support of Nikki Saadat’s request for Co-Op placement with your organization. Nikki serves as an
employed student with the Miller Fellowship program at Glen Helen Nature Preserve,in Yellow Springs, Ohio. I had the
pleasure of meeting her last summer, when she applied for a Glen Helen Miller Fellow position. She has been employed at
the Glen ever since.
Nikki’s greatest strength is her tremendous ability to evolve and remain flexible. As a Miller Fellow in the Public
Relations Department at Glen Helen, she has been faced with a myriad of challenges. She is able to identify and define
problems, find causes, and consider possible outcomes when assessing solutions with limited need for direction. Nikki
maintains a strong work ethic and consistently performs beyond my expectations. She is thorough, self-motivated, and
mindful. Her professionalism is outstanding; she maintains confidentiality, provides complete and accurate results, and
always meets challenges with a smile and heartened determination.
As a veteran Miller Fellow, Nikki has held the reigns for many of our community outreach and media projects. She has
diligently researched pertinent information, conducted interviews, and developed materials that capture the interest of our
visitors while brilliantly conveying the mission of Glen Helen Nature Preserve.
Nikki’s performance is first rate; she is the highest skilled student that I have encountered! Her clarity and composure,
poise and ability to think on her feet during presentations, meetings, and in moments of stress, are truly remarkable. Nikki
conducts herself very professionally in all situations and is particularly adept at networking with faculty, staff, and visitors
from around the world.
Nikki has served as a Public Relations Miller Fellow since June 2014. This is no easy task, as students must re-apply for a
competitive Miller Fellow position every quarter. Each and every time, Nikki comes out on top. She has performed
exceptionally well, boosting public visibility and understanding and excelling at all tasks within a fast paced, diverse work
environment, and she always brings new and interesting ideas to the table. Nikki is an intelligent, enthusiastic, well-
prepared, well-spoken, and assertive individual who will succeed with any challenge placed before her.
As you know, achieving success is a function of many variables including intelligence, motivation, communication skills,
and personal traits. Although often overlooked, this last factor may be the most important – as an individual, Nikki is an
extremely well-rounded young woman. He is likable, straightforward, down-to-earth, confidant, and generally, a joy to
work with. Both her peers and members of our staff hold her in high regard. Whenever possible, Nikki is always ready to
offer support, to mentor others, or to step in as the lead of any endeavor when a volunteer is not readily available. She is
involved in numerous projects, from educational hikes to funding source research, community outreach initiatives, and
animal care. Somehow,in the midst of her academic, employment, and community activities, she finds time to give more
of herself.
Based on the foregoing, it should be clear that I regard Nikki Saadat as an outstanding individual in every sense of the
word. Accordingly, I recommend Nikki to you for acceptance into your Co-Op program, without hesitation. In my
opinion, she has unlimited potential and will eventually go as far as her professional dreams will carry her.
Sincerely
Tina Spencer
