2. We chose to use Twitter as a platform for Tori to engage with her
audience on a personal level. Twitter was the easiest choice of
social media page to be able to expose Tori's personality behind
the "fame" and allow her 'tweets' to be funny, interesting and
casual. Because of this, we chose to show the least amount of
professionalism in the layout of our Tori Twitter page in
comparison to the other social media platforms we have created.
We have still incorporated synergy into the account as both the
main icon image and header image include the colour red. Tori's
'tweets' regularly include an insight into her emotions and daily
activities.
3. Despite Facebook's fall in popularity with regards to Tori's target
audience of 15-24 year olds, we thought that creating a
Facebook account for Tori would be a good way to branch out to
a secondary audience. Tori's profile image and header image,
likewise to her Twitter account, incorporate the colour red.
However, in the Facebook profile image, Tori's face is clearer to
see than in the Twitter icon as we felt Facebook was a more
professional platform and artist "image" was important here.
Tori's 'posts' on Facebook all revolve around information about
her music, tour dates, interviews, etc which is a clear
juxtaposition from the laid-back approach on the Twitter account.
4. We felt that Instagram, being increasingly popular with our target
audience and being a diverse social media website, would be
perfect for Tori - a diverse artist. As Tori isn't yet famous, we felt
that it would be appropriate and helpful for Tori's rise of
popularity to firstly focus on images of Tori herself. When she
then becomes more well-known is when we will branch out and
take her out of being the focal point of images. But for now we
felt that using Instagram could increase her "Star Image" and
people would be able to start to recognise her in the future.
Instagram is a mid-point between the level of professionalism of
Twitter and Facebook but we are introducing Tori on Instagram in
a more professional light as her Twitter page is already casual
enough and engaging for her audience.
