The first task that we had to complete was a define and summarise
design briefs work sheet. From the examples we were given we
had to answer 5 questions, such as what media products did the
client require?
Next lesson I will come up with ideas for my FMP. I will
start idea generations using Mind Maps, Tagxedo and
PowerPoint.

This week our task was to create a mood board to decide whether I
was going to create a short film, magazine or an advert. At first I
wanted to make a music video as I already had a good idea of how
to do this from last year’s FMP, but in the end I decided I wanted
to try doing something else so I chose to a advert and magazine
Next lesson I will finalise my FMP ideas and write up a
script of what I want to present to the client.

After I had created my mind map I started making a PowerPoint of
all my ideas for my pitch. I then wrote up a project proposal and
wrote up my final script before presenting it to my client.
Next Lesson I will start my background research of the
speaker I want to use for my advert, I will look at other
speakers of its types and look if there is any adverts
adverting the product I am doing or a similar one.

For this part of the course it was all about the research for my
chosen product. I created a power point filled with portable
speaker related things. I then created a survey to see if my target
audience would be interested in portable speaker and just
interested in music and listening to music regularly.
Next lesson I will start my pre – production, which will
be taking pictures and measurements of my speaker
and a storyboard. I will not need to create a script as I
am having no speaking in the ad.

The next task in the course was pre-production. This is creating my
story board for my advert. I also took high quality pictures of the
speaker to use in the advert; I also took the measurements of the
height width and girth of the speaker.
The next thing I will have to do is create some form
visual effect of my speaker. I will need to come up with
different ideas and effects to see which one I like best
and works best.

This lesson I created a low res model of the speaker. I then created
another 5 higher res comps, doing different things.
The next step will be to choose one of the high res
comps to use and create the rest of the advert

This lesson I chose which high res comp I wanted to use to in my
FMP. I then began editing my advert together on premier pro and
after effects
