1. Overloading forklifts, cranes, racking, shelving, carts,
etc. can damage the equipment and is dangerous. It is
important to know the maximum weight capacities to
prevent overloading! It is important that employees are
aware of the weight of the load and the maximum
capacity of the equipment!
Forklifts and carts could tip, overhead loads could fall
and racking and shelving can collapse.
Tips:
Checked the marked weight of an object that is to
be lifted or stored, alternatively use a scale to weigh
the load.
Ensure that the load capacity data plate is on the
equipment, shelving, racking cart etc. and make
sure it is legible. If it is not legible or it is missing,
determine the maximum weight load capacity and
post it.
Do not take shortcuts!
Ensure that you have the proper training when
operating equipment!
