1. Jewelry should not be worn while working on the shop
floor or in the field. Watches, rings, necklaces, body
piercings and other types of jewelry can cause serious
or life threatening injuries at work.
 They have the potential to create electrical and
conduction issues.
 They can potentially get caught on machinery,
moving parts or other areas within the working
environment.
 If we slip, fall or jump, jewelry has the potential to
catch on a solid object. This could lead to an
amputation, deep cut, laceration or even
strangulation.
 In some conditions, wearing jewelry can expose you
to the potential of infectious diseases.
What do you do if there is a need for Medic Alert
Identification? (bracelets, necklaces that display
emergency life-saving medical information)
 Use a Medic Alert ID that has a break away or tear
away band. Ask for a style that will not create
electrical hazards.
