10. The Arab Spring: Revolution and
Counterrevolutions in the Middle East (HIST
497) with Dr. Baker
• MWF, 10:10-11am
• Learn about “the Arab Spring”—a
series of demonstrations and
protests across the Middle East
that began in 2010.
• These demonstrations led to the
current Iraqi insurgency, the coup
in Egypt, as well as the civil wars
in Syria, Libya, and Yemen.
• HIST 497 will explore all aspects
of the Arab Spring and its
counterrevolutions.
