This project involved developing ETL jobs in DataStage to load data from various sources into an Insurance Industry Warehouse for AIG. The goals were to provide a long term portfolio management solution and centralized reporting across geographies. The project leveraged existing systems and transformed data for consistent reporting. Responsibilities included designing and developing DataStage jobs to extract, transform and load data into tables, creating documentation, resolving issues, and participating in meetings.

Project Summary:
This Project is to implement a long term portfolio management solution across
geographies and production units combined with an integrated single source of
information for consistent reporting throughout Customer’s organization.
The Solution to leverage existing and planned systems as data sources, monitor data
quality, transform and load data into the Insurance Industry Warehouse (IIW) based
data mart, and provide access via dashboards, alerts, reports and queries to enable
business decision makers with tools to evaluate and improve their portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities:
Used Sequential file stage, Oracle stage, Copy, Funnel, Lookup, Join stage,
Remove Duplicate stage, Sort, Transformer, Filter, Aggregator, sequencer, etc.
Responsible for DataStage job development using ETL technical design document
and loading the required data to respective tables.
Responsible for creating the Data dictionary document and data definition
document.
Worked on resolving the issues raised during QA & UAT phase.
Prepared Unit test cases.
Involved in weekly status calls, issue resolution meetings and onsite meetings.
